A good machine except it is NOISY. How did it earn a quiet mark? Our coffee maker registers 60 decibels at 1 metre distance when checked. How can that be considered quiet when it reverberates all round my house?

While our fully automatic espresso machines are characterised by noise-reducing design and gentle grinding to make 40% less noise compared to earlier models, we understand that noise levels may vary depending on different factors during use. Please find below possible root causes and respective solutions: 1. The water tank is not fully inserted and air is drawn into the machine. Make sure the water tank is in the correct position: remove it and insert it again pushing it as far as possible. 2. The AquaClean water filter was not prepared properly and air is now drawn into the machine. Remove it from the water tank and properly prepare it for use before you place it back, as per the instructions. 3. If the machine starts to make a different kind of noise other than the normal one, kindly clean the brew group and lubricate it as per the instructions. I’m honestly shocked at how user friendly it is. Setting up takes a little time but once’s it’s all set, you can make the most delicious at home coffees. I’ve invested in nice beans and this machine has elevated my every day coffee. It’s easy to clean, the buttons are easy to push and don’t get stuck at all. I’m very happy with it. Also the sound of grinding the beans is way less loud than a typical coffee grounder which is nice so I don’t wake up my husband in the morning making my coffee! Highly recommend for those that are intimidated by a typical espresso machine and want better quality coffee.

Bought June 2024 and on my 4th fix which they replaced twice. Read the other reviews. It works great for a while and then leaks like crazy. Philips should step up and admit there’s a problem and fix it instead of the constant fixes until the warranty runs out.

Bought recently. "Silent Brew". I have had Dot Matrix printers that make less noise than this. The drinks are fine. The delay to start up is tedious. Adjusting the amount of liquid is fairly rigid . It's this or that. It's the noise. Grinding is horrendous. Water pump is akin to a sump pump running dry.
