Q: How long does it keep charged? I charged it over night, the light went from red to green and then red again. I tried using it and it’s dead, charging it for the second time without even using it.

Great during its short lifespan of 6 weeks.
I bought this at the end of last season (2024) on sale. I used it once before putting it away for the winter to ensure it worked. It worked well to start this season but now only 6 weeks of using it, it won’t turn on. I plug it in to recharge and it shows a green light which means fully charged but nothing happens when I turn it on. It is so disappointing because I really appreciated the convenience of using this for my 15ft above ground pool. Started off as a fabulous little vacuum only to disappoint with its very short lifespan.

Unit was used and battery was dead, put on charge and it just has a continuous green light, unit will not work. I tried to use it again 2 days later after being plugged in for those 2 days and nothing, plugged it into different outlets and it still has the continuous green light??

Love these!
I have 2 of these, used for 4 summer seasons. They run about 20-30 min on a charge, so I bought a second one for when the pool has extra debris needing more cleaning time. I use these primarily during the first week or so after opening the pool (in ground) for the summer, when much leaf, pine needle and sand has accumulated over the winter despite having a winter cover installed. At this time the water is too cold still to vacuum from inside the pool, and I like the power of these and light weight maneuverability better than fussing with hooking up the inground pool vac to the pool filter system. When there are a lot of leaves, I do have to empty the filter bags frequently, but I still am happy with their utility for my purposes. I’m in a mountain desert area, so a lot of sand does get in the pool; using the fabric sock does trap the fine sediment. I use these primarily plastic mesh filter bag just when cleaning up the leaves and pine needles, then switch to the fine fabric one for the finer stuff.

Faulty!
I charged it all night, assembled it, turned it on, put it in the pool, and it wouldn’t come on. It has been charging all afternoon, and the light is still red. I had one of these before, and it worked fine, but then it just quit one day. Now the new one won’t come on at all, and the switch seems loose. I’m thinking it is just not a good product. Very disappointed in Intex or maybe Spreetail sells faulty merchandise. Either way, now I have to go to the trouble of returning it and search for a different pool vacuum.

On/Off Switch Breaks
I purchased one of these two years ago and it worked great for those two years. We just bought a brand new one. I used it one time, charged it, and then the on/off switch wouldn't work. So I ordered another one thinking it was a fluke. Same problem. I used it one time. Stopped to clean the filter, then turned it back on and nothing. It seems like they are much more cheaply made these days. Too bad because when it works, it works great.

Don't waste your time using this
I highly suggest spending a little more, to get something better. Used it 5 times, and haven’t once been satisfied with the results. Have to move it very slowly to suck up the debris on the bottom of the pool. Even then, it only cleans up a portion of it. Not sure if the product I received wasn’t designed correctly or what, but the piece that attaches to the vacuum to hold the head in place, is garbage. It doesn’t securely connect. Occasionally it comes off, spilling all of the dirt and debris into the pool water. The suction isn’t strong enough whatsoever. Very disappointed in this pool vac. Returning today.

Not a good item. Died after 3 months use
Died after 3 months of use. Was using it every day. charging when needed. Now it doesn't light up when plugged in and will not charge.

Handheld Convenience with Great Reach
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been looking for a handheld vacuum for our hot tub for some time. We have a decent pump but it never seems to quite get all the sand out of the spaces and curves of the hot tub. This has a great telescopic reach with an angled head with a brush to kick up the debris and good suction to get it all out. The charge is more than enough to clean the space but it needs to be charged between uses. If left off the charger after being used for a bit, it won’t be charged after a few days. All in all, it’s exactly what we needed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was incentivized by Influenster and Intex with this complimentary product in exchange for my honest review. This handheld pool vacuum has quite a bit of suction to it. It didn’t take long to charge, which was welcomed since most gadgets take a while for complete charging. Assembly also was very easy to do. Since it is winter time, I was only able to reach the shallow end of our pool but when the weather improves, I hope to be able to tackle the rest. The length is sufficient and I could get around corners easily. I will update with a video when our weather improves.
