The iTap Magnetic 2 CD Slot Mount is a compact and powerful magnetic mounting solution that holds smartphones in any vehicle.
Designed for safety and convenience, the iTap 2 features two rare-earth magnets that provide a stronghold for all smartphones and case combinations. The mounting system includes a metal plate kit with small and large metal plates and a protective film that attaches directly to the back of the smartphone or case and does not interfere with wireless charging when properly positioned.
The iTap Magnetic 2 safely installs directly into the vehicle’s CD slot with a soft rubberized CD slot connector and a locking lever that secures the mount in place. Once installed, simply tap the smartphone on the magnetic mounting head to secure the device while driving.

Not for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great concept but this item was not for me. I was super excited to receive it because I travel and use my GPS on my cell phone often. I was sadly disappointed after using this mount for about 2 and and half weeks. Installation of the mount is kinda hard as well a trying to take the mount off. I thought I may break something by the amount of pressure that I had to apply. I finally stopped using it due to the piece that goes on the back on my phone constantly coming off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm writing this review for the itap2 magnetic cd slot mount. I like this thing, it is really cool. I initially thought that this thing couldn't be any good and it couldn't possibly be safe for my cd player in my car. I was wrong. I thought it would be a flimsy junk that doesn't hold your phone well and would break the cd player. It's total opposite of everything I thought. It fits in place well. It doesn't go all the way in the cd player ,just like slides right into the entrance of the cd player. It locks in place ,is a nice tight fit. The magnetic mount holds my iphone 12 pro max with ease. It doesn't want to fall off of the magnetic mount. I've tried many different phone mounts. I love this one because I didn't have a place on my cars interior that could hold a phone mount without breaking my air vent, blocking my control panels or my screen for my stereo. This one is great because it fits in the cd slot ,holds phone well and doesn't block anything. The best part is if you want you just release the clip and take the mount out. It's an incredible and cool product that I love ,enjoy and would recommend.

Easy install, durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this! I didn’t know I needed it but now that I have it, I can’t imagine trips without it! It’s super easy to install and takes only a minute or two. It comes with 2 magnetic installations plates that you can choose from for install. One is to install directly on your phone and the other installs on your phone case, no matter what case you have. It’s a peel and stick magnet so you just peel off the film and stick it to the surface of your case. The magnet attaches to the holder installed in your CD player. Just make sure to eject any disc before installing. It just slides into the CD player portion and has a clip you push to lock it into place. I love that it holds my phone within view while driving so I can see who is calling or can view my gps/maps when needed. The magnet is strong and holds my phone in place, even on bumpy gravel roads. I have never had my phone drop from it. Highly recommend.

Sturdy and strong
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical at first as to whether this phone holder would actually work for my phone because it's massive and heavy and has a thick case on it (I have a zte blade max, they're huge) but it has surpassed all of ny expectations. It doesn't actually clip in to the cd slot which I thought would make it flimsy, but it isn't, and the fact that it just slides in makes it easy to attach and remove. There are 2 magnetic plates it comes with, one that you can place inside of your phone case so it doesn't show on the outside, and one you can attack directly to the outside of your case or either one could be used if you don't have a phone case. Since my case isn't flat on the outside I opted to use the one inside the case to see how well it would work that way and I was honestly shocked at how well the magnet worked through it and held my phone securely in place. I will say, try to place the metal plate as close to the center as you can, I have a pop socket on mine near the middle so I had to place the plate toward the bottom of my phone, which still works really well, but if I am careless about where I stick my phone to the mount, then it will tip and potentially fall because it's top heave. If I am mindful to sick my phone as close to the middle as I can get it, this is not an issue. Over all I am very happy with this phone holder and highly recommend it.

It has 2 magnets one for inside the case and one for outside. The inside one is staying secure, the outside magnet will not stay in place on the outside of the case. For the 30 minutes it did stay on the outside of the case it was a great CD slot mount!

I have been using extensively for the past two weeks and it works fantastic, iOttie has done it again! I am using this mount on an iPhone XS Max with an Otterbox Symmetry case. While the large silver plate is not strong enough through the case, the small black plate installled on the outside of my case works flawlessly. If I do not use the case, the silver plate sticks very well to the mount.It seems to be a high quality product to me.

Great quality built and very strong magnet. At 1st, i thought the price could have been slightly high for a typical maget phone holder. But after using, the quality built and strong magnet being use and have justify the cost alone. If i were to have a $1000 phone on a mount, i want to be rest assure the mount wont drop it. There's issue there, perfect mount and able to move between my 3 car

Magnetic mount
This mount is very convenient, all you do is attach the metal plate to your phone (don't worry there is a protective plastic layer that is included so your device wont get scratched) and the powerful magnets will suck your phone in. Even the big bumps on the road can't knock your phone off this mount. Only thing is missing is qi charging, which iottie has in the works. Iottie has great products and customer service.

Surprisingly sturdy, very easy to use
I didn't end up sticking the adhesive to my phone as the tightly fitted silicone case I use locks it in place pretty well
On top of that, customer service is excellent. It's my 4th product from them, one of which unfortunately broke but I was sent a replacement within days (and I was even able to get a better model!)
