@kcjreads •It Starts With Us, By: Colleen Hoover Book ✌️-Sequel to It Ends With Us (If you haven’t read that one first, don’t read this). I loved being able to know more of Atlas & Lily’s story. I definitely liked It Ends with Us more than this one, but I loved getting more insight into Atlas’ life & his POV into their relationship. I love the fact that as well as exploring the aftermath of domestic violence, the author created a healthy relationship between Lily & Atlas also. This isn't a telling of a fairy-tale romance; this is what a relationship should be like-dual respect, love, honesty & compatibility. I give credit to the author that she shows abuse doesn't just stop when the relationship stops, & that the scars are forever. Side-note though: My favorite parts were the banter between Atlas & his witty “therapist”, Theo. 😂 And of course the extra spice with Lily & Atlas🌶️🔥 “Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again.
