Book Synopsis
Before It Ends with Us, it started with Atlas. Colleen Hoover tells fan favorite Atlas's side of the story and shares what comes next in this long-anticipated sequel to the "glorious and touching" (USA TODAY) #1 New York Times bestseller It Ends with Us. Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life--and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter's life. Switching between the perspectives of Lily and Atlas, It Starts with Us picks up right where the epilogue for the "gripping, pulse-pounding" (Sarah Pekkanen, author of Perfect Neighbors) bestselling phenomenon It Ends with Us left off. Revealing more about Atlas's past and following Lily as she embraces a second chance at true love while navigating a jealous ex-husband, it proves that "no one delivers an emotional read like Colleen Hoover" (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author).About the Author

An okay sequel to the previous book (It ends with us). A bit predictable but i’m glad she gave the characters growth and they prioritize the child in the situation despite the adult issues. The writing wasn’t terrible but she could’ve done better. The movie will be bad.
Love it!

I’m not a huge book reader but kept seeing this series mentioned everywhere. The library never had it in stock so I decided to just buy it and see how it was. I could not put it down and had to go out and buy the next one. It has a great story line, picks up where the other book left off and has a great ending. If you liked “It ends with us” you’ll love this one!
The happy ending we all deserved

I’ve never bought a book so fast. Finished It ends with us and automatically found out that night there was a continuation, next morning I got the book. It’s the perfect sequel to the first. Absolutely loved the happy ending so much so that I hope there is a third!

If you read It Ends With Us, desire closure for Lily and Altas, then this is the book for you. I truly enjoyed the book, it was actually what I needed after reading the first one. I would recommend this book to anyone that fell in love with Altas and Lily like I did and wish for a little more.
Worth the read! Great book.

I read it ends with us and enjoyed it so i figured i would read this as well. I strongly disliked this book and feel as if it was a total waste of time. The storyline was overly predictable and drug out far too long for how simple it was.
Love!

This book felt like s letdown after the first one. It was incredibly anticlimactic and pretty repetitive. I understand what this book was intended to be, but it just missed
Not Worth The Hype

The love story and way in which the two characters connected are what made the book worth reading. However, the writing is amateur at best. It’s really not impressive. And the “letter” at the end was so disappointing. Hoover could have made that last part so much more heartfelt rather than a wordy and almost negatively-focused letter (this makes more sense if you’ve read the book). This sequel was no better than the first one. I honestly don’t think I would ever recommend one of her books and this is likely the last one I ever read.
Don't fall for the hype

This book wasn’t necessary and could’ve been better. It felt forced and I was generally disappointed. I definitely didn’t like having to reread all of Lily’s journal entries again. It felt like a page filler.
Unexpectedly good
