A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

Q: Does this Ivory have ANY kind of fragrance? Long ago, it came that way, but it's harder and harder to find any unscented or fragrance-free beauty products.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

Simple soap but dried my skin out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t mind this soap by ivory it says it’s gentle on skin but I did find it to dry my skin out a little and didn’t really keep it moisturized like their oatmeal one. I wouldn’t buy again but if you’re looking for something to really clean your skin if it gets oily you might prefer it better .

There’s more than one use for IVORY

I mean it’s a BAR OF SOAP so what do you want me to say storage very very small package for 12 bars of soap and you don’t throw soap away it just disappears when it’s gone if you’ve never tried IVORY soap, you have to try it!! look up all the different things you can use it for. I couldn’t tell you this post is already entirely too long.

Great gentle bar soap!

When I received the Ivory Gentle Bar soap I was skeptical but looking forward to trying it. I feel like the soap lasts a decent amount of time, has a great smell, and doesn’t dry out my skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i’m sure it’s a great product for some, it does have some moisturizing properties and create suds as expected from a soap bar. I am just not a fan of the way it smells, and I don’t know if that is entirely personal preference or it is just not pleasant overall. The bar of soap itself is sturdy and durable and would likely be long lasting. Also not the biggest fan of the paper packaging. If it were to get wet on the outside, it would make it difficult to get off for you. No residual residue left after washing completely off, however, it did take a longer amount of time then I feel normal to fully rinse.

It doesnt have a strong scent, which is great for those of us sensitive to strong odors. Each bar lasts us quite awhile compared to liquid hand soaps. We all have pretty sensitive skin here and this soap has never once irritated any of our skin. The bars are great to have on hand for guests too!

Total crap 💩
I have used ivory soap for years and it has always been a wonderful experience, until last year! When the formula changed I was a broke out mess. My skin was so dry and I couldn’t figure out why because it didn’t say anything on the packaging about a formula change. After doing some research I discover that the formula had been changed. It is an absolutely terrible product now. I’m so disappointed after 140 years that you would change a formula and completely ruin a great product.
