A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

Q: Does this Ivory have ANY kind of fragrance? Long ago, it came that way, but it's harder and harder to find any unscented or fragrance-free beauty products.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

I’ve been loving the Ivory Original Body Wash and Bar Soap! The clean, fresh scent is so simple and classic, and both products lather beautifully without any effort. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a body wash girly but I grew up on bar soap. My father prefers bar soap and he loves this body soap. It cleanses the body well. My son has eczema and it did not flare up while using this soap. It lathered and rinsed well. No slippery residue

Love this Soap!

After trying it myself, I have to agree with her — Ivory Soap is truly timeless. The bar is very smooth and doesn’t leave any residue after rinsing. It doesn’t feel like it’s made with any harsh ingredients, and it leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean, and soft. I can see why it’s been a family favorite for generations.

REAL Sensitive Skin beware!

WHO SAID DAT? no seriously, I just wanna talk. 👀 ivory sent me their #IvoryBarOriginal and asked for my honest thoughts. now… I have sensitive skin (like: “a light breeze could annoy me” sensitive) so my experience may NOT be yours. use me as a reference point, not the final exam key. I’m always nervous trying new brands, but I was lowkey excited for this one — shoutout to @influenster for hooking it up. so I patch-tested on my arm… and babyyyy the itch came in quick. not catastrophic, just “why is my arm arguing with me?” levels. I washed it off and it left my skin dry but also somehow… filmy?? like dry but mysteriously coated? anyway, as I type this, the itch is still itching. so yeah… 3/10 from me. #complimentary

definitely out of my comfort zone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i’m not really a bar soap person, so trying this ivory bar was definitely out of my comfort zone. the scent is super light and clean, which i did like, and it lathers better than i expected. but i still wasn’t loving the whole bar soap experience— the texture, the mess, and the way it feels compared to liquid body wash just isn’t my thing. and tbh i feel like it left my skin kinda dry. if you already like bar soap then you’ll probably have a better time than i did.

Left my skin dry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this soap is super gentle on skin but when i used it i noticed it left my skin a bit drier than usual. So although I felt clean I didn’t feel moisturized.
