A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

Q: Does this Ivory have ANY kind of fragrance? Long ago, it came that way, but it's harder and harder to find any unscented or fragrance-free beauty products.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

Lemongrass & citronella candle scent
I like that it made me feel clean. But I can’t get past the scent so unfortunately it was my first and last time using it. All the reviews said a clean scent. What it truthfully smells like is lemongrass and a citronella candle.

Classic bar soap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this bar once in the shower and I personally just don't like bar soap because I feel like my skin can be tight and dry afterwards and I did feel like this with the bar however I do use this to clean my make up brushes because it's unscented and it works very well and it gets all the grime oil and makeup off of my makeup brushes so I do love it for that reason

Smooth on the skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are big soap users at home, something about gliding the bar across your skin and feeling clean after the wash is just different from the shower gels. I’m excited to have the chance of trying of ivory soap in original scent. It glides and almost melt on your skin in the shower, leaving your skin feeling clean and soft but not tight like some bars do. Only downside though is that the original scent smells pretty strong. It is a neutral scent almost reminded me of laundry soap or linen smell, which I would love on my clothes but not on my skin. Good thing is that the scent doesn’t linger on your skin, but again, it smells very heavily perfumed when you sniff it. Love the texture and everything when you use this bar, I just wished that they would have another scent that is more tuned down for the whole family to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stinks I can’t add a video… Anyways, this Ivory soap bar has the original clean scent. After using it you will feel clean and not dry. I don’t feel like I need to hop out of the shower to run and put lotion on like some other bars. You can use it as hand soap or body soap, whatever you prefer, it gets the job done!

Oldie but goodie

Really good soap

Super sudsy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how sudsy this soap is! It leaves your skin very clean feeling without being sticky. I don’t love the scent because it smells a bit like citronella, but it does not irritate my skin or cause an eczema flair up. I will continue to use this.
