A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

Q: Does this Ivory have ANY kind of fragrance? Long ago, it came that way, but it's harder and harder to find any unscented or fragrance-free beauty products.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

Great for everyday use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this hand soap in the bathroom for the last month and we love how soft our hands are feeling afterwards. It doesnt have a strong scent, which is great for those of us sensitive to strong odors. Each bar lasts us quite awhile compared to liquid hand soaps. We all have pretty sensitive skin here and this soap has never once irritated any of our skin. The bars are great to have on hand for guests too!

Total crap 💩
I have used ivory soap for years and it has always been a wonderful experience, until last year! When the formula changed I was a broke out mess. My skin was so dry and I couldn’t figure out why because it didn’t say anything on the packaging about a formula change. After doing some research I discover that the formula had been changed. It is an absolutely terrible product now. I’m so disappointed after 140 years that you would change a formula and completely ruin a great product.

Soapy and smells great

Fresh, Clean, and Perfect for Sensitive Skin

I’ve been loving the Ivory Original Body Wash and Bar Soap! The clean, fresh scent is so simple and classic, and both products lather beautifully without any effort. I have sensitive skin, and neither one caused irritation—they actually felt really gentle and soothing. I’ve especially enjoyed using them for a quick rinse after the hot tub; they leave me feeling clean without any residue. These are definitely going into my regular rotation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a body wash girly but I grew up on bar soap. My father prefers bar soap and he loves this body soap. It cleanses the body well. My son has eczema and it did not flare up while using this soap. It lathered and rinsed well. No slippery residue

Love this Soap!

REAL Sensitive Skin beware!

WHO SAID DAT? no seriously, I just wanna talk. 👀 ivory sent me their #IvoryBarOriginal and asked for my honest thoughts. now… I have sensitive skin (like: “a light breeze could annoy me” sensitive) so my experience may NOT be yours. use me as a reference point, not the final exam key. I’m always nervous trying new brands, but I was lowkey excited for this one — shoutout to @influenster for hooking it up. so I patch-tested on my arm… and babyyyy the itch came in quick. not catastrophic, just “why is my arm arguing with me?” levels. I washed it off and it left my skin dry but also somehow… filmy?? like dry but mysteriously coated? anyway, as I type this, the itch is still itching. so yeah… 3/10 from me. #complimentary
