Make sure your macOS is fully updated; sometimes display compatibility improves with OS updates. Make sure your ASUS monitor is set to the correct HDMI input source. Sometimes monitors default to a different HDMI port or input.

Not a Long-Term Solution for iPad to TV
Works great for picture from my iPad to TV, but it drains the battery too quickly.. with a full charge it only lasts an hour while streaming Spotify (and it’s a newer iPad too). I’m now searching for a dual adaptor to charge and stream.

The USB-C to 4K HDMI Cable requires that a computer, tablet, or mobile phone support an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode v1.2 for video out. Without that feature, the video cable with not be compatible to those devices. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device.

When it worked, it worked well. I bought this to set up a second monitor for online school and used it successfully every day for about 4 months. Then it suddenly started glitching, screen would go black, and it would disconnect (very inconvenient during zoom meetings). The USB-C end has to be plugged into my laptop very precisely for it to work for a few minutes and then readjust, which gets frustrating.

Stopped working after 33 days (just after return policy expired). Not worth full price I paid. Will try to get an exchange RMA from manufacturer. Don’t be like me, stay away from this product.
