Q: Does it support a docked Switch via the HDMI Port?
A: As both of these HDMI ports are outbound the adapter would not display out the type-c connection.
submitted byJ5create Team - 4 years agoBrand expertA: Hi, HelloWorld! Regarding your question about the j5create USB Type-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery: It will connect to it, but if you are trying to display to something that isn't a designated display, such as a laptop screen or something along those lines it won't work as they are both outbound video connections. This is for connecting a lapop or phone with a USB type C port to a display via HDMI moreso than anything. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact MyTGTtech at 877-698-4883 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: I have galaxy Z flip 3 w/a malfunctioning screen, will this device allow me to connect my z flip to tv monitor and mouse as well allow me to transfer data to another device all at the same time?
A: Yes, the USB-C to HDMI adapter will allow you to mirror your phone’s display or use Samsung DeX on the TV monitor via the HDMI output. You can connect a USB mouse to the USB 3.0 port on the adapter, allowing you to navigate the phone’s interface or Samsung DeX. The USB 3.0 port can also be used to connect an external storage device, allowing you to transfer data from your phone to another device such as using a USB flash drive. Note: You might need a USB hub or dock with multiple USB ports if you need to use both a mouse and a storage device at the same time. The Power Delivery (PD) feature will ensure that your phone stays charged while using these functions, preventing battery drain during usage.

Q: My MacBook Air only has a headphone jack & a USB-C port for the charger. Will plugging this into the charging port allow me to use USB & HDMI devices (ex. an external microphone) with my MacBook?
A: The USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery will allow you to add additional display, USB peripherals and pass-through charge. As for an external microphone, if it requires additional power to power the device, we recommend using a USB-C power adapter (up to 100W) to the power-in port on the Adapter. A USB-C power adapter, powers both the adapter (with attached peripherals) and your laptop.

Q: No power cords for old laptops that have no USB A or B, only HDMI ports. What cords, dongles, and or adapters do I need to charge by HDMI port on my Roku tv?
A: This device requires a computer to support "DisplayPort Alt Mode" for video out via HDMI and "Power Delivery" for pass-through charge. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. You would need a USB-C power brick that will connect to the USB-C power-in port on the device.
