The JCA379 USB Type-C HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery provides extra connectivity from your computer with 5 Gbps transfer speed and supports 4k HDMI. These pocket-sized multi-adapters allow you to add an additional USB 3.0 HDMI monitor and USB Type-C charging. When connected with a power source, the USB Type-C port allows you to keep charging your notebook or smartphone. Compatible with MacBook, Chromebook, XPS 13/15, and other laptop and desktop computers with a USB Type-C port. USB Type-C is the new standard for connecting PCs and Macs and will eventually replace all current USB cables and connectors. It can be found on laptops, phones, tablets, and other compatible devices. The USB Type‐C has a slim and reversible design, so there is no wrong way to plug it in. It also offers greater power delivery.

This is for connecting a lapop or phone with a USB type C port to a display via HDMI moreso than anything. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. You would need a USB-C power brick that will connect to the USB-C power-in port on the device. If a computer does not support those features, this device will not be compatible. The USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery is a PnP (Plug n Play) device, no driver is required.

I had this for about one week and it just stopped working. If I plugged the power cable into the mac, then it started charging, but if I plug it into this adapter nothing would happen. Also stopped detecting my hdmi monitor. USB port still works though

This adapter was what I was looking for to charge my iPad, and gave an hdmi port. Too bad it doesn’t work. Very disappointed.

The USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery requires an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0. DisplayPort v1.2 required on graphics card or video source to support 4K @ 30 Hz resolution. This device is a PnP product that will use the iPad's hardware features. I got A Samsung A12, and this Hdmi Port Doesn't work because it's Not Compatible.

The Samsung A12 does not support PnP devices. Your device must support "DisplayPort Alt Mode" and "Power Delivery" over USB-C. The only available option is the JUA165C. Cordially, j5.
