Q: Is the top set of screws supposed to stay fairly loose (for folding)? Won't that pinch little fingers?

A: Hi! The top screws stay somewhat loose to allow the seat to fold and unfold. Once your child is sitting on the seat, they should remain in place. For extra caution, try to keep your child's fingers away from that area. Thanks

My 3 year old has been challenging to potty train but this seat has been helpful! He prefers it over stand alone kid potties - I think the seat is slightly wider. He also likes the step. It’s similar to one they use at daycare so that helps with transition. The only problem we have with it is when he pees (seated) sometimes it leaks through between the seat and the bowl, like it’s helping aim down but doesn’t cover enough of the rim of the actual toilet.

Definitely should’ve spent more and got the foldable one maybe from a different brand. Seat is hard, spent less money on my other foldable seat and it does a lot better. So don’t go for aesthetics people because you’ll get cheap plastic.
