Fin is defective
Our fin arrived broken but now I wonder if that even matters since it seems to be a broad issue across the board. This is such an expensive toy for the quality of the product. Do not waste your time or kid’s tears on buying this Bad Larry. It will break (or arrive broken) and your child will be devastated. Ask me how I know.

Broken fin after 10 days
Bought at a major retailer for Christmas. A lot of the reviews stated that one fin would snap off without being able to be reconnected. Took the risk anyways, and here we are 11 days after Christmas with the same problem. Clearly there was a quality control issue if this may people have the same problem. We have multiple other of the colossal sized dinosaurs and all have been fantastic. This one was a miss though. Hopefully Mattel will find a way to make this right

Fin-gate
Glad I got this on sale, as like everyone else, the fun has popped off after very little play. Noticed the other day that it was loose and wouldn’t stay on and then today when taking it off the shelf the fin just fell off with the connector piece falling inside the fin.

something is broken
My son was so excited about his new Mosasaurus, but that excitement faded after he opened the box and realized the fin wouldn't stay on because it kept falling off. I can't return it to the store because the box was destroyed, and now we're stuck with a toy that isn't complete. I wish I could do something about it because I paid for it, and I'm not satisfied with the product, and, more importantly, my son isn't happy either.

Target stinks
This arrived broken and the box ripped up. I took it back to target and they said I could not exchange it I had to refund and repurchase it for $30 more than I originally paid for it! I did because it was my grandsons Christmas gift. Target this was such a scam and no wonder people don’t want to shop at your store. Unbelievable to me.

My 4 year old son loves this! He plays with it often and it seems durable so far. He got some of the Jurassic "minis" for Christmas & they work well with both this & the T-Rex he got. I would buy it again. Great quality so far!

Broken fin out of the box
This was the big gift for my son this past Christmas 2025 he was so excited when he opened it but the fin would not attach when we were putting it together. He was so sad he kept crying (he’s 3 with Autism he doesn’t understand) we had to hide it until we could exchange it for a new one. The new one seems fine so far. It’s been 3 days. Fingers crossed it actually last. This toy is way over priced for it to come defective.

Terrible quality - fins snap off
Same as everyone else, Christmas morning my 3 year old started playing with this and within 30 mins the front right fin fell off and wouldn't snap back in. The next day same thing happened with the back two fins. They couldn't even bother to play test this thing? Absolutely Temu-level quality.

Unfixable Fin Problem!
Son loves it, but like others, the screw in the large front left fin came out and is inside the fin, unable to be removed/fixed. This was a very expensive gift and it lasted less thant 3 days. Poorly designed functionality. I expect more from an expensive toy, albeit plastic, but his other Jurasic toys have been fine. Has anyone gotten a refund or replacement?

Terrible quality. DO NOT BUY!!
The fins and the tail keep falling off with even the most gentle play. We have tried two of them and they both have the same problem. Save yourself some time and look for some other toy.

Total let down
Very disappointed! Gifted to my son for his birthday. He played with it twice for a few minutes and the front right fin popped off with no way to fix. The box was thrown of course because we expected great quality, but we were let down. Target, will you make this right on behalf of Mattel?

Cool dino
My 3 year old received this Dino as a gift. Cool toy that is really big and largely well made. My only issue is that its fins keep popping off. They are not broken, they just keep coming off and interrupting playtime to get fixed.

It really is not meant for a standard might be better for a pool. Make sure the connections don’t get conked up with soap or it will not turn off till clean. My 6 year old loves it
