Q: Is there palm oil in this?

A: Yes, this product includes palm oil as an ingredient. The reason that we use palm oil because it is a Non-GMO, non-hydrogenated oil that acts as a stabilizer and reduces oil separation. This means less stirring for you every time you dip into a jar! Adding other liquid oils wouldn't stabilize the nut butters and would increase the oil layer at the top of the jar. From the beginning, Justin’s® has been focused on the responsible sourcing of all our ingredients, including our palm oil, and we are constantly pushing the supply chain for advancements in this area. We are members of the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm), which currently represents about 20% of the total palm oil supply. The RSPO encourages sustainable growing practices and human rights initiatives at the farm level, while promoting education about the cultivation and use of certified sustainable palm oil. RSPO is the leading organization to date for sustainably sourced palm oil and Justin’s® is proud to be among the companies who are actively involved and invested in supporting these initiatives. The vanilla almond butter used to be thick and robust in vanilla flavor, I would eat it with a knife right out of the jar. Now it is oily with only a hint of vanilla. I am suspicious to decrease cost that they decreased the amount of vanilla powder. But regardles, no better than off brands and not worth the cost. I did contact the company and they offered to send me coupons. No thanks, I will not buy it again and am thowing away this jar.

This is good but they should add to the bottle that this needs to be mixed and that sometimes customers may need to add olive oil to it to smooth it out. Some batches are dry and some are very creamy, so please disclose that in the bottle. Overall it is very tasty and goes well on toast, waffles and fruit. I wish the bottle was larger for the price you pay.

I love this vanilla almond butter. I'll drive everywhere to find it. It's amazing for smoothies. I confess I eat a very small amount NOT in a smoothie, but the taste is perfect. I hope they never stop making it. It IS usually a real bear to stir. Major wrist workout. I still love it. It's also pretty darn expensive. I'm assuing there's a reason - but again, have been buying for years.

Use to love this almond butter. BUT they changed recipe and it is so oily. If you manage to get it stirred up by next day you have to do it all over again. I tried storing upside down after mixing but ended up with oil all over my counter. Been a loyal customer for many years, not any more.

It really tastes like a pretzel spread. Which is surprising good. I love it on toaster waffles. I think this is the best Justins almond butter. And unlike a lot of almond butters, Justins is one of the brands that isn't too much of a pain that you have to stir all the time.
