The shelves arrived with bent and broken corners, their pressboard construction making them flimsy at best. The packaging did not seem to stand up to being shipped any distance, much less the careless hands of our FedEx driver. We were also missing on of the support pieces, which I fortunately found out before trying to assemble. It may be suitable for small storage in a climate controlled environment. Even the slightest exposure to moisture would likely make the shelves swell and crumble, so I would not recommend it for a garage.
