Q: How do you separate the shelves that were packaged one inside of the other. They are stuck together and I cannot get them apart.

submitted by Katie - 2 years ago

  • A: Mine were really hard to separate also. I took the handle of a hammer and struck the corners and the middle a few times rotating the shelves until they started to loosen up. Believe me I wanted to throw them at a wall since I finally came up with this solution 40 minutes in.

submitted byDonnaDonna - 2 years ago

  • A: Mine came fused together too. I finally reached customer service by phone who could not understand the problem. Really frustrating!

submitted bySH - 2 years ago

  • A: I heated up the shelves with a blowdryer and banged them gently on a carpeted surface so they didn't get scratched.

submitted bySusan - 11 months ago

  • A: Use a long screwdriver in one of the shelf holes and one person holds it and pulls while the other person pulls the shelves. Do this on each side for each shelf and it works like magic.

Q: Does this cart have a lid offered as an accessory?

submitted by Airline Pet Carrier - 4 years ago

  • A: Hi SoCaKiwi - Great question. This utility cart does not have lids. Hope this helps! - Johanna

submitted byJohanna - 4 years ago
    Target staff support

  • A: This brand does not but I believe they Michael’s sells lids for there cart that isp similar. Please note I have not checked exact dimensions. Good luck!

submitted byPal - 1 year ago

  • A: I just bought a lid that fits perfectly. It's the Brightroom Reversible 3-tier Cart Organizer Lid

submitted byDebbie - 2 years ago

  • A: I'm looking for a lid also!!! I couldn't find one anywhere though so I'm assuming the only options are to either turn the top basket upside down, make our own lids, or do without it

submitted byneed a lid - 4 years ago

Q: what are the shelf dimensions

submitted by Rachel - 5 years ago

  • A: The shelf dimensions are 3.5" (D) x 11.75" (W) x 16" (L)

submitted bybunnii - 4 years ago

  • A: 3.25" D x 11.75" W x 16" L

submitted bybunnii - 4 years ago

Q: what type and size screws were used for this cart?

submitted by Megan - 5 years ago

  • A: 1/4-20 x 1/2 screws. We could not find the exact screw but any flat or Phillips head will work as long as the head is wide. Make sure there’s no nut underneath the screw head or it will not fit, the screw is not very long but needs every part of that 1/2” to fit through the metal shelf and handle.

submitted byAnonymous - 1 year ago

  • A: The screws have a flat tip (instead of pointed) and are only half of an inch long. The diameter of twisty part is .5 centimeters. Diamter of the top of the screw is 1.5 centimeters.

submitted byraebrux - 5 years ago

  • A: These are joint connector bolts, or flat head socket cap screws would work (same thing but with no beveled edges). The measurements are : 1/8 in. diameter, 16 TPI, 1/2 in. length

submitted bybunnii - 4 years ago

Q: I want to replace the wheels, do you have the wheel information to order new ones?

submitted by Keana - 1 year ago

  • A: I got an M8 thread caster for a cart that appears identical, and ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE MADE TO FIT, it's obviously cross threaded. English 5/16" (0.3125") is 7.9375mm. diff thread. YMMV

submitted byVwF - 9 months ago

  • A: Hello Keana - Thank you for your interest on - 3 Tier Metal Utility Cart Black. The threads on the casters measure M8x15mm. Hope this information helps. Happy shopping! - Rose

Q: Over time, How does this hold up in year-round very humid conditions ? Looking close up-any deterioration ?

submitted by AlwaysLookUp - 1 year ago

  • A: Powder coated finish on these carts is really well done. In 5 yrs haven't had any isssues2 large,1 this smaller size, are inside a bathroom, in the closet, next to a walk in shower. It's humid from showers and it's also in N Texas, extra humidty 350 days year. It's not inside greenhouse humid, but I think it would hold up.

submitted byTXLaurieLou - 1 year ago

  • A: Hello - We appreciate your interest in this item. A rust-resistant powder coating on a 3-tier metal utility cart should generally provide good protection against deterioration in humid conditions. Hope this helps. - Kevin

Building it was easy. But of course after assembling, noticed some paint missing right on the top. It seems to scratch easy so I’m concerned about durability. Will do the job but annoying its damaged for the price it is. And it’s too much of a hassle for me to take apart to return.

Cheap Junk Shelves

This was a piece of junk. It arrived damaged. the metal shelves were bent out of shape. The vertical bars were cheap and flimsy. They did not form a solid connection at all. Avoid this piece of junk.

The cart itself seems fine but the assembly was incredibly frustrating! It took way longer than you might think for something so basic.

Easy to assemble! Very very sturdy and strong.. very good quality! After reading tons of reviews I bought this for my son that is about to go to college for his dorm. Very impressed on the quality of it and beautiful color. Two of the wheels lock with a little pressure (on and off) labeled. This will come in handy for my son! So excited!

This is fantastic for storing things in small areas. I purchased a white one and it was wonderful and liked it so just bought another. I use it for soda, water, paper towels, napkins and plastic silverware making it easy to find and know what I am running out of
