Maybe for 9 months tops
They worked well but near the end of the school year the kids started complaining about the taste of things packed in them. I tested it and it was definitely leaving a plastic taste on the food. We did wash them in the dishwasher and used almost daily for about 9 months. Not entirely sure if the plastic started deteriorating or if it always tasted like that?

I would absolutely give this 0 stars if possible. It absolutely does NOT stay closed. I bought these for myself and I can’t imagine how frustrated children would be. I know I definitely was after seeing my snacks strewn everywhere in my work bag and in my lunch box the second time around. What a waste of money.

Perfect for school lunch!
My kids love these bags. My oldest is going into kindergarten so I bought these in anticipation of packing her lunches when school starts. Her and my 4 year old can both open these bags very easily (a plus that they don’t need help when at school). They’re a good size and easy to wash. We’re getting a lot of use out of these already. We’d love if Target made more sizes, colors, and patterns!
