Add a delicious taste to any meal with the Finest Norwegian Sardines in Olive Oil from King Oscar. Packed with two layers of fish, this delectable snack can be eaten on its own or added to sandwiches, salads and more. The premium Norwegian brisling sardines have been placed in olive oil and salt to bring out their natural flavors for a more enjoyable taste.
I like these so much I ordered 10 cans online. Better tasting than any other I've tried. Good taste, filling, smooth "extra virgin" olive oil. I eat a can after working out for the protein. When I'm concerned about making weight I rinse off the oil in a colander. Usually eat them straight out of the can, but sometimes on bread or a cracker. I think King Oscar himself goes fishing for these with a little net off the Norwegian shore, and throws back the ones he thinks I won't like.
These are the best sardines. Don't get the single layer. Double layer means smaller fish and the olive oil really makes them tasty and very healthy. Double Layer Sardines are much pricier, but well worth the money.
I wish I knew what was going on with these sardines. We've eaten them for many years and this was the only brand I would buy. Within the last year or so, they have really went downhill. I kept buying them thinking it was just a bad batch, but now I am trying other brands.
