  • A: Technically, anything plugged in has power running through it. So, the light isn't a concern. This isn't meant to stay plugged in after use anyway. However, I find the light pointless.. it should be indicating a hot burner rather than being plugged in.

PRO: Item is a nice compact, portable size and heats quickly. CON: Power indicator light did not light up when plugged in and/or powered on which is a safety hazard since there is no other way to know if the burner is heated other than feeling the heat. Unsure if it is designed that way or a manufacturer defect.

The temperature settings aren’t in degrees Fahrenheit or celsius. The dial goes from 1 - 5 and the instructions explain what those settings mean by listing how many quarts of water will come to a boil how quickly at each setting. Not useful.
