It's multifunctional, and I use it to cut and separate dough when I'm making bread, cinnamon rolls, etc. I also use it to gently scrape dough residue off my chopping block counter when I'm cleaning up. Good little baker's tool
I’m always too nervous to smash garlic with the side of my chefs knife, it just seems too easy to slip and have an accident. I always saw Rachel Ray with one of these scraper tools and she makes it it look so helpful, useful kitchen tool. Well, It’s ok..it doesn’t chop as well as a knife. So be safe not to slit a finger when trying to chop anything, even onions. However, I like that it has measurements engraved on it and has other uses for this tool like opening a clove a garlic using the flat side. If you you do decide to get this tool, order two scraper so you always have one that’s clean to use.

Best scraper in the market!
I love this scraper! I’ve had different scrapers but this one is something else! I use it all the time when I bake and prepare my doughs. Also when I cook in meats, it’s just so easy to use and clean. I love the measuring conversions engraved on the side of the scraper, those are so useful when working on new recipes. This scraper does what it promises and even more! I totally recommend it, it’s worth the money!

This is one of the two items I'm returning for a refund or exchange. The edge of the scraper is slightly bent, I was going to keep it until I used the pastry blender for the first time and it broke in my hand so I would like to exchange them both or get a refund. If the edge were not broken I would recommend this all-purpose scraper,
