Q: Can the lamp shade be swapped?

A: Hello MG- Thanks for your interest in Knurled Metal Arc Floor Lamp with Tiered Shade Brass. To answer your question, yes it can. This lampshade is attached via a threaded uno attachment. However, it may be difficult to find a lampshade that matches the proportions and design of this lamp. Therefore, I do not recommend swapping the shade on this product. I hope this helps. - Shilpa

The threads on one piece came slanted so no matter how hard we tried to readjust it and straighten it, it stayed crooked and wouldn't tighten all the way. We were disappointed but still tried to assemble it. Unfortunately, the holes for the two little screws for connecting the 2 arched pieces were too small to even fit the screws despite patiently trying for half an hour with steady hands. Cute design hypothetically, but very disappointed that we couldn't even assemble the product fully. Will return and re-purchase an alternative on Amazon that I've bought before and had absolutely no issues with. If you're still going to buy this cheap product, pray your pieces aren't defective and be sure to read the instructions thoroughly as the order of pieces to assemble is unintuitive but unfortunately important. If not, try Amazon.

I hate seeing light bulbs because I have sensory issues. this lamp gives diffused light unlike more lamps that aren't a frosted globe. People are complaining about putting it together but you just need two people and some patience. read directions before you start

The base of the lamp is heavy (good to balance the arched lamp) but it was extremely difficult to put together by myself. Recommend having a 2nd pair of hands. Also, if you dont have the pieces lined up right, the curve of the lamp ends up looking wrong but it can be adjusted.

I read the reviews, so pulled the cord all the way through. The smart thing to do. However, now I am trying to put those TINY, TINY set screws into the pole. Yikes, I keep dropping them because they are so little. How can a person handle something so small and screw it in????

Whoever designed the screw to the base should never design a product again. The reason everyones lamp leans is because the nut is only half secured to the base because the insert needs to be a quarter inch longer. Perfect example of a product becoming unusable because someone wanted to save $0.001 per lamp.

Just finished assembling it and it looks great! I was very hesitant to buy this because of previous reviews. I saw some people saying it was manufactured in a way where it was crooked. I noticed that if I screwed things too tight then it was crooked, so I just loosened things slightly and that allowed me to straighten it. However, I also wasn’t sure if it’d live up to the $120 price tag…it was a bit pricey for me, but the quality is there and I like the design. Fairly easy to assemble too despite what I read. I’m surprisingly satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased this to go behind my big arm chair in the corner. It’s a bit shorter and arches out more than I thought it would. The overall aesthetics looks nice. But I don’t like the color of the white shade it comes with. It’s very paper white and the decor in my living room does better with a parchment paper colored shade. The base is very heavy which is good and sturdy. But the number one reason I’m not keeping this item is because the switch on the lamp feels stuck and does not turn smoothly. And the light that came with the lamp isn’t bright.

This lamp was so easy to put together compared to other lamps I’ve purchased. I would recommend having a second person help hold it straight as the base is pretty heavy. I did do it myself, but having an extra set of hands would have made it an easier experience. The lamp is well made, and elegant. I absolutely love it. The diffuser on the bottom of the shade adds an additional creature comfort as it hangs above my couch, making it so you still get the light without it being in your face as you lay under it. The tiered lamp shade is also very unique, which added a lot of character as well. I highly recommend this product!

This floor lamp represents lighting on an elegant, elevated level. It has a simple design, yet the style of the lamp brings sophistication to any space. The gold knurled metal that is on the straight part of the lamp is a beautiful accent that adds texture and contrast to the smoothness of the arch. A tiered linen shade allows the right amount of light to shine through. It makes my office look amazing!

I wanted a lamp for my living room. It arrived damaged. The shade was scrunched in the box. The lamp itself is heavy duty. The base is heavy so you don’t have to worry about it tipping over. It’s held up to my hurricane children and cat hanging off it.

We adore this lamp, specifically for the built-in diffuser on the shade. It is exactly what we needed for our space. That said, the "6 foot" cord that's mentioned in the item description is counting the length of cord that is running through the lamp itself as part of its overall length. There is maybe 2 feet of actual cord length left after the lamp is put together, forcing the issue of keeping it very close to the wall outlet or using an extension cord. It isn't a dealbreaker, but something I thought others should be aware of.

I really love the overall style and modern look of this lamp. I was really hoping it would exceed my expectations, but unfortunately, it didn't. The lamp was extremely scratched and marked up when it arrived and the lampshade had crimps in it that show up as dark shadows when the light is turned on, which obviously takes away from the overall aesthetic of the lamp. I originally had hoped this would fit in the gap behind our couch so that we could use it to read at night but the base is very large and it only fits in the corner of our living room. It wasn't too complicated to put together but once assembled, the lamp shade looks slightly crooked. We ended up having to bend the metal circle a little inside the shade to make it sit level. I do like that it lets off a decent glow at night and looks pretty stylish in our room. If it had been made with better quality and standards, I would totally give it more stars.

This is such a very well designed lamp. It was very easy to put together. And I love that it’s very durable too. It gives my home a very modern and stylish look. The base of the lamp is definitely well designed and very sturdy. This lamp really brightens up my living room space.
