I absolutly love this e-reader. Coming from the sage, I love the color aspect especally being an annotator. This Kobo Libra Colour is great, feather weight, and is the first thing I reach for when I'm physically unable to hold a book due to numerous health issue.

Beware of Blueproton
Be mindful of purchasing from Blueproton via Target. My Kobo came with major damage on the box, the box had clearly been opened as the little sticker that would secure it closed was removed and there were scratches on the kobo. Purchased directly through Rakuten instead.

Way to Dark
I didn’t realize these E-Readers were SO dark even when turned fully up. I like the background very bright white but you cannot replicate that with this even fully turned up. I read this is a problem for some people so be prepared. I bought it mostly because it’s one of the few, if only readers that allows you to transfer Amazon books and also use the library app. ( name skips my brain right now).

Beware: screen is extremely fragile and not under warranty
I had this for less than 2 weeks and was really impressed, but then this morning I turned it on and 2 huge swaths of the screen were no longer updating. I contacted Kobo support and they say that it's been "physically damaged" (There is no obvious damage.) and that is not covered. My only options are to repair it myself with a part bought from iFixit (which voids the warranty and ruins the waterproofing) or buy a new one. I'd been planning to transition from the Kindle Oasis to this product, but it's just no where near as durable. I've had the Oasis 3+ years and the Kobo didn't even last 3 weeks.

Extremely happy to finally have a reader-friendly e-reader
I am absolutely loving the Kobo Libra Colour. The user interface is very intuitive and allows me to focus on reading, no ads (and I didn't have to pay an extra fee for that) and no new book suggestions to distract me, but I want to find new books when I choose to that's easy to do as well. It is also a seamless experience with my Libby library books and my sideloaded books. The light can be adjusted on screen as I read. Also as a left-handed person I can flip the device and change the directionality of the buttons to my comfort. On top of that, it's made with recycled plastic and can be repaired. Overall, it's a reader-friendly e-reader that I wish I would have known about before.

Bad formatting and no help from kobo
This is a nice ereader UNLESS you purchase it for graphic novels. Graphic novels look great on it, but sadly half of the ones we have purchased are not formatted correctly and cannot be used on Kobo. When contacting Kobo, I was basically just told “sorry” and did not get a refund on the books. I spent the extra money for the color just to read graphic novels. I regret the purchase.

Love this ereader!
I am pleasantly surprised with this device and like it a lot. I have two Kindles and decided to try this as a color reader with the page turn buttons. I have no complaints at all. It’s fast, has a great display and I love the options it gives for the header and footers. I highly recommend!

Expectations Exceeded
Read about the Kobo on best of e-reader lists on tech websites. Was really attracted to its page turn buttons and compatibility with dropbox, googledrive, and pocket. It has a nice dark mode and text looks like paper. I read a lot of downloaded pdfs and they're displayed well with an emphasis on readability. You can also take notes with it but I use it to read articles for school and books.
