Ceramic Honing Rod
Love me this ceramic honing rod. It was recommended to me in store and it works better than a traditional steel honing rod especially on harder Japanese steel

Zwilling Bob Kramer ceramic sharpening rod
Just recent received my Zwilling Bob Kramer ceramic sharpening rod and have used it every day on various fine knives to bring them back to razor sharpness after use and a quick swipe across a leather strop. It’s a great complement to my original 40 year old Zwilling rod!

So far so good
We just got 3 or 4 days ago, but it was immediately evident on the knives we have sharpened so far... And we had let them go for a while! Very happy at this point

great results
I use this rod between sharpenings. The ceramic cleans up my blade and gives it a little edge. It is lightweight and comfortable to hold.

A ceramic honing rod is a very effective sharpening tool. Ceramic sharpens steel very well but it is more fragile than a metal steel, If you are careful it will last a very long time.

Favorite of professionals
Ceramic is harder than steel, so when you run your knife against this sharpening rod, it will have an impact in a few careful pulls. The efficiency is what pros want/like. Great tool for maintaining all your knives. Hone as often as you use your knives.

Knife edges need to be kept in alignment after use in order to keep them performing their best. That's where a sharpening rod comes into play. Not only will this rod keep your blade straight but it will also sharpen it as the ceramic is harder than the steel of your knife. You will marvel at how great your knife performs after using this rod.

Great Steel
I know that I have to hone my knives periodically to keep them sharp. But sometimes I don't feel like the steel that came with my knife block is making it as sharp as I'd like. That's when I pull out this ceramic steel. It's coarse and hard enough to actually remove a little metal from my knife and makes them incredibly sharp.

Ceramic is a great surface to use for honing a variety of steels. This honing steel has a lot of surface space, a hefty handle and is weighted well for exceptional results.

Maintain the edges
The ceramic is hard enough to be effective on both German and Japanese knives. If you've invested in good knives, also invest in a sharpening rod to maintain them. This one is a great option.
