It’s moisturizing, protects your hair from heat and leave your hair feeling smooth and looking shiny. It has a light and clean scent. The packaging looks nice but it’s best to spray the conditioner in your hand because it doesn’t spritz on due to the thickness of the conditioner. Over I would recommend this conditioner for anyone wanting to protect and prolong their color treated hair.

The first thing that caught my attention was the packaging – I absolutely love the design and the deep plum color. In terms of performance, this set left my hair feeling soft and smooth for a long time after washing, which I really appreciated. It’s great for color-treated or dry hair. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After seeing how well the Kristin Ess Peptide Protect Shampoo and Conditioner worked on my locs, I wanted to love the leave-in too, but I’ll be honest, I was skeptical from the start. With locs, anything that claims to "coat" or "soften" can be a slippery slope. I don’t want buildup. I don’t want weight. And I definitely don’t want to lose that fluffy, fresh-washed feeling I love. So, I tested it out lightly, using a small amount. I misted through the mid-length to ends of my locs on damp hair. At first, it was promising. Light, fragrant, and my hair felt smooth and hydrated. I thought, “Okay, maybe this is the perfect trio.” But the more I used it over time, especially on days I felt my hair needed extra moisture, I noticed it started to weigh down my locs. That airy, clean softness from the shampoo and conditioner combo was fading. My hair wasn’t dirty, but it didn’t feel as fresh either. It’s not a bad product, and it’s actually a really good leave-in for loose natural textures or light refreshes. But for locs, you have to be careful. A little goes a long way. And honestly, I’m still not 100% sold on it being a staple in my loc routine
