Q: Is this brand cruelty-free?

submitted by Erica - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there! Thank you for your inquiry. At L’Oréal, we care for animal welfare and do not test on animals. We are for a world without animal testing. Since 1989, we have not tested the safety of our products on animals, 14 years before regulations required us to do so. There are effective non-animal ways to ensure the safety of cosmetic products. For example, over 40 years ago, L’Oréal pioneered the development of human reconstructed skin that is more accurate for analyzing how cosmetic ingredients and products will behave on human skin. We hope this helps!

This stuff completely healed my skin barrier. I used to have problems with my skin being constantly dry but this helped a lot. It’s pretty thick though so a little goes a long way and I usually only apply it at night

I enjoy camping and even when I camp as you can imagine I can’t really wash my face and do my skin care routine. This is PERFECT for a night cream as it is extremely hydrating and helps keep my face just pampered. Does not break me out ever and with the temperatures dropping at night I wake up to a hydrated face. I even used this as a moisturizer when I visited Zion in march because of how cold it was. Of course don’t forget our SPF! ☀️

My skin has been damaged by using the cream of the wrong origin. I used b5 cream as a savior for my skin to gradually recover and become smoother. I recommend oily skin to apply thin layer or use gel form.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this product on accutane really helped keep my skin moisturized through the whole day. I use it at night because it is a thicker cream but I highly recommend it for those with dry patches or generally dry skin.

This is a miracle product. Any irritation you might have on your skin, pop this on and it’ll calm it down. It’s especially necessary if you are on tretinoin. On my in between days when my skin barrier needs some help, I cleanse, apply oat gel moisturizer on damp skin, then layer this on top and my peeling and irritated skin feels so much better. It’s super thick and occlusive, fragrance free, and healing. I will always purchase this. Also for a small tube, It does last cause you don’t need a lot.

I might of gotten a Bad batch but I had such high hopes for this balm. Especially from someone who LOVES a lot of la roach posay products I was shocked and disappointed to put this on my skin and to see it has a dry cream type formula? Like it felt chalky on my skin and did not absorb at all. It just sat on my skin and actually felt like it was drying my skin than hydrating it. I applied it onto my hands and it just aged my skin so much I had to wash it off after 20 minutes of me still seeing white chalk and dryness making my skin feel tight. So I wouldn’t DARE put this on my face… Which is weird because when I see others use this balm it looks so juicy and hydrating but my bottle is NOTHING like that. Maybe i just have a dud though.

I bought this for my extremely dry, cracked hands from winter. Honestly for the price and that purpose i won’t be purchasing again. Maybe it’s great for mildly dry skin, not scaly dry. I put Euceein on my hands and that worked a lot better.

As a balm it’s incredible, however if you’re planning on using this as a daily moisturizer for dry skin HEAR ME OUT try the La Roche Posay Lipikar AP+M Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream! It’s for the face and body! I love how hydrating that is in comparison to the cicaplast Baume and it’s a better value for the Triple Repair Cream! Trust meeee! I own both and will continue to purchase both, cicaplast for occasional use and triple repair for daily use! La roche posay is really saving skin out here!
