Q: I would like to use this to replace Cerave's PM moisturizer. What percentage of niacinamide does this have? (Cerave PM moisturizer have 4%)

A: I think that this deserves an answer as well. The statement that "The percentage of specific ingredients in any given product is not a measure of the ingredient's efficacy" is just wrong. Well-conducted clinical studies have shown Niacinamide to be efficacious for various purposes at the 4%-5% range. If this product does not contain that ingredient in that percentage, there is a good chance the Niacinamide included may not be in the efficacious range that has been clinically studied. I too would like to see if this product works well, but I am not going to throw my money and skin in a lottery and hope that the Niacinamide is efficacious. I will be sticking to CeraVe for the time being.

Best Lotion for Dry / Sensitive Skin
This La Roche-Posay Lipikar Daily Repair Lotion is amazing. It’s super hydrating without feeling greasy, and my skin stays soft literally all day. I love that it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and has ingredients like shea butter and niacinamide that actually do something. It calms redness, smooths dry patches, and just makes my skin feel healthier overall. I think the price can be deterring - but the bottle lasts a very long time!

Incredible product
This product is incredible. First, let me start off by saying- the price point of this product is great, epically for the amount you get. You absolutely can’t beat it. This feels like a high end product. This moisturizer is thick but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. I typically only wear it at night, but as the cold weather is approaching, I’ve been using it in the morning under my makeup and it works incredibly well. My makeup has actually never worked better. I just avoid wearing it on oily skin (my forehead) because it can look greasy. When I wake up in the morning, my skin definitely looks greasy but feels amazing, moisturized, plump, and bouncy. I suffer with very dry skin in the winter and this product has helped so much. I also suffer from eczema on my body, and this moisturizer doesn’t irritate it at all and actually helps a bit. This moisturizer will take dull skin and make you glowy and gorgeous. I’ve been using it for over a year and don’t plan on stopping.

Lovely cream (not lotion) - absurd packaging
This is a lovely and effective cream (it is NOT, NOT a "lotion" - but it is almost impossible to use because it is packaged in a plastic bottle with a pump. The cream is deliciously thick (which is what makes it so effective and a cream, not a lotion) but you can't get it out of the bottle easily and in large enough quantities to make it worth the huge effort. Because of this, I won't buy it again. What I have done in the past is to remove the pump from the bottle and then squeeze the bottle to get the cream out. Believe it or not, the cream is so thick that only about half of it can be accessed this way! So after a while I cut the top off the bottle and remove the rest of the cream with a spoon. It's absolutely absurd and so unnecessary. The cream is wonderful, but the packaging is for a lotion, which this is not.

Fragrance: (fragrance-free).  Residue is easily absorbed, does not leave a greasy or sticky film. Wear: provides long hydration - according to the clinical test, the skin felt moisturized and soft after a while. I’m moisturized
My skin is extremely dry during the colder months. this lotion has a soft, thick velvety texture. It absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves it feeling refreshingly smooth. I’m in love with the fact that there is no scent to this, it’s safe enough to use on your face without the worry of a breakout. The shea butter and nicinamide are a great choice for dry skin.

Love this product! I use for my daily face and hand lotion. Occasionally will use for my body but will use a more cost effective option as first line. Absorbs well despite going on a bit greasy and keep my skin happy all day long! Love the lock top on the bottle, so good for travel. No strong scent, which is great for me personally!

No more dry, cracked skin
I love this moisturizer! It saved my skin while I was on acne medication. My skin was so dry and cracked, so my dermatologist suggested that I use this. I used it on both my face and body and it was very thick and moisturizing. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but it helped heal my skin so much. It did not have a scent either which my sensitive skin appreciated.
