Q: I would like to use this to replace Cerave's PM moisturizer. What percentage of niacinamide does this have? (Cerave PM moisturizer have 4%)

A: I think that this deserves an answer as well. The statement that "The percentage of specific ingredients in any given product is not a measure of the ingredient's efficacy" is just wrong. Well-conducted clinical studies have shown Niacinamide to be efficacious for various purposes at the 4%-5% range. If this product does not contain that ingredient in that percentage, there is a good chance the Niacinamide included may not be in the efficacious range that has been clinically studied. I too would like to see if this product works well, but I am not going to throw my money and skin in a lottery and hope that the Niacinamide is efficacious. I will be sticking to CeraVe for the time being.

Just like my last review of the La Ruche-Posay purifying foam cleanser, was this daily repair moisturizer sent from heaven?? Because seriously, my extremely sensitive/acne prone skin LOVES this stuff. It’s been so hard for me to find a good skin care routine, and this brand has truly been a life saver for me. I’m never going back, the price and product are completely worth it!!!

Pilling lotion, not what I want in a lotion. I can put up with the “fragrance free”aroma but I can’t deal with the pilling. I had to shower after having this lotion on for barely an hour. The lotion felt like webbing between my fingers and toes. I did not enjoy anything about this thin and pilling lotion. I expect much more from La Roche-Posay.

This is an amazing product for all/over hydration, rich but not heavy or greasy. The problem is that after using 2/3rds of the bottle, the pump becomes useless and you need to cut the container to get the product out. The company came out with a new squeeze container made of some kind of paper making it more sustainable material and easier to use throughout the life of the product, but the top was designed so that it was always in the way of the product coming out. Now I don’t see that container anywhere and we are back to the original issue. Im hoping they are contributors work on a solution, otherwise this product would be 5 stars!

I have tried their popular moisturizer but it pilled so badly no matter what I did. Even on clean skin with nothing underneath. But I really love the ingredients (this brand in general) so I thought to try their moisturizer lotion for my face instead. I’m honestly mad I didn’t try it sooner! It not heavy and blends so nicely. I apply to damp skin. I only need a small amount so it will last awhile. I love the pump and that it locks. It doesn’t have perfume but it does have a weird smell. It remind me of condoms haha but it’s not strong at all and goes away. It doesn’t break me out which is a huge factor for me. I have sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate me. I also use this around my eyes with no problem. Looks great under makeup and works well under their spf. It gives a healthy natural finish. Soaks right in and doesn’t look greasy or make me oily. I highly recommend if you have sensitive combo/dry acne prone skin!

It's smells horrible once you've rubbed it in. 🤢 like moldy, fishy, dough. Which is odd cause it says fragrance free and I was really excited to use this but I don't know if I'll be able to tolerate the smell.

C'mon...you can do better! Fix the terrible scent! As other reviewers have pointed out, this lotion is *not* fragrance-free. It smells like fishy, plastic-y dough. Would not recommend it and would give it a zero-star rating if I could.

despite the product labeled as unscented, it has a chemical scent. the scent took a while to get used to. it's not as moisturizing as I expected it to be. I would apply it on my hands. after washing my hands once with a gentle foaming hand soap, my hands are dried up and I need to reapply. I don't have the same experience with CeraVe lotion, which cost less than this product.

This lotion did not impress me for the price. I found it had a really odd scent that made me hate the lotion. It did make my skin soft though. I used it up as fast as I could to get rid of it.
