Bought this at the recommendation of a hair dresser. I was not disappointed at all. The best hairdryer I have ever had. You can control both the heat and the fan speed easily. It's quite, easy to handle and dries your hair quickly. There are two fan speeds, the highest is just right. It's made very well, quality dryer for an under $100 price.

The pros for this hairdyer are super light, modern and dries my hair very quickly. The cons are I change the heat setting accidentially because that's where I hold it. If I move my hand down lower then I'm covering the vent. There is no good place to hold it. The magnetic nozzle seems to fall off easily too.

I’ve used many different blow dryers over the years. This has to be the absolute best I’ve ever used. I have short wavy hair that is so hard to dry without having a bend in it. This not only dries my hair faster but helps straighten the waviness of my hair. I love the different heat settings on it. I also didn’t realize that it has a setting where you can have it automatically alternate through the settings. The absolute best blow dryer!

ChatGPT said this was one of the quieter hair dryers with a diffuser for curly hair. I do appreciate the med heat setting - it's the perfect temperature. And it did dry my hair faster than a standard dryer. But the volume... Holy cow... It's the loudest dryer I've ever heard. It's not just loud - it's crazy high pitched. Nails on a chalkboard would be more pleasant. I don't know if I got a dud or what but this is absolutely getting returned.

I love this blow dryer. I have stopped straightening my hair, I was using a super heavy Revlon styling air brush and it took so much time. I have a dryer with a diffuser but it blows air like a tornado. This dryer doesn’t have as much air velocity, it works super fast and I don’t touch up with a curling wand either. It’s 1400 watts, plenty of heat and I love the magnetic attachments and the color changing from cool to warm to hot. It’s pretty lightweight too! The only thing that’s missing is dual voltage capability.

Honestly it's good for probably anything except for diffusing. The diffuser attachment completely reduces air flow to a ridiculous amount. And as someone that typically diffuses with warm instead of hot it took twice as long to diffuse with the diffuser even with smaller sections. The only positive is it didn't leave my hair that frizzy but honestly that's manageable as is with heat protectant.

With a price point less than half of well-known brands, there is no sacrifice when it comes to features, performance and dry time. Like its high-end counterparts, the Laifen SE is packed with features and power that reduce drying time down to minutes. The control buttons are conveniently placed on the handle, so the user can switch between heat and power settings easily and intuitively without interrupting the drying process. The lighted ring at the back of the dryer changes color - corresponding to the heat settings - so there is no need to move the dryer away from your hair to “verify” the setting, as is the case with other brands. Additionally, there is a heat setting that continually alternates between high and low heat, which is great for people with sensitive scalps and/or children. The attachments and the filter cover are magnetic, so switching them out/cleaning is simple and quick. That said, the attachments do get hot, so some care is needed when switching them out while drying. The Laifen SE is a thoughtfully designed hair dryer that will save the user both time and money – while providing top notch results.
