Captain Calamari is a great toy, my baby has been playing with it every day for two months and it holds her attention better than almost any other toy. It even entertains me! There are so many colors, textures, and doodads, and who doesn't love to shake it at your baby and say "Arrr matey, will ye play with me?" Target really should change the photo though, it looks different now and it sounds like it has for a long time. I personally think it's cuter!

Very popular toy in our house!
I first introduced Captain Calamari to my baby at four months. We sometimes hang it from the activity gym or just leave it on the floor so our baby can wrestle it. The legs are alternating textures, great for chewing. Baby also likes the crinkly hat and the little rattle ball. The secret mirror is also great every time baby finds it again.

Great toy for infant development

This is probably my #1 baby toy. It has been with us through 2 boys (now 3 years and 4 months). It has proven to be both of their favorites also. The colors, sounds, shapes, and mirror are great.
