    Awful game, Waster of money

The frogs are very stiff and it's practically impossible to open their mouths. Even when you do, only 1 or 2 flies will fit in the mouths. Children are frustrated. I would never recommend this game to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old has a hard time squeezing the frog. I purchase this as a motor activity to improve grasp, but I'm not sure it will be used for the original purpose.

The overall game is educational and engaging, but the flies are too large to fit in the frog’s mouth. Only 2 flies fit in the frog’s mouth at one time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an adorable game. My three year old doesn't really care about using the dice yet, but he greatly enjoys having the frogs eat flies. The frogs are a little hard to squeeze open for him as they are almost bigger than his hand, but its still fun.

My school's OT (occupational therapist) loaned me her Froggy set so my kindergarten students could strengthen their fine motor muscles in prep for handwriting. I've decided I want to invest in one for myself. The frogs are fun and engaging, and the students need to use two different finger grips to "catch" and then "release" the flies. I would hear my students say, "My hand is getting tired," which told me they were exercising their muscles. For good technique, help your students understand they need to use their fingers (not their whole hand) to open the frog mouth. Otherwise they are using gross motor, rather than fine motor muscles.

This game is perfect to work on not only fine motor skills, but social and academic skills as well. My children enjoy this game and it is a highly preferred choice when picking a table activity for the group. All the pieces are nicely made, the game is easily understood by all, and all my students enjoy it so much that they want to play multiple rounds. I would highly recommend this game.

Fun game would recommend for older children only cause it's hard to open the frogs mouth for small toddlers, my son has ASD and his pysical Therpist helps him with it , you can only get 3 flies inside mouth . Overall great idea

The frogs mouths are much too difficult to open. There is no way my preschooler can use it as directed when I can't squeeze it hard enough to open its mouth to pick up a fly.

I bought it for my daughter who needs to strengthen her hand muscles. I thought is was really attractive and most of all targeting what we needed. The frogs were too rigid and could not be used. My husband and I were not even able to open the frog's mouth with one hand. It is intended for pre-k age. We ended up discarding them because it is not usable.Very disappointed.

I was excited to give this to my 3 year old daughter who loves frogs. However was quickly disappointed to find the rubber frogs are so stiff it is impossible for a child to squeeze them to open their mouths. It was difficult enough for myself and my husband to use them let alone our kids. In fact it would probably give us RSI if we were to play a game. It's completely useless and not at all suitable for kids to use. I'm VERY surprised by the previous positive comments. Will be seeking a refund!

Flies don't fit in the frog's mouth!

The idea behind this game is great. I am a special education kindergarten teacher and we bought this game because of the fine motor aspect added with having to open the mouths of the frogs. The trouble is, the frogs are so small that I have a hard time getting more than 3 flies in their mouth at a time, yet the instructions say to play until the flies are gone. Also, the die goes up to 6 and there is no way you are getting 6 flies in those mouths. I really though this would be a great game but it's pretty useless if would can't follow what the dice tells you to do.

I like this game and my son had fun with it. I just wish the frogs were bigger so we could actually fit all the flies inside his mouth. You can only fit 3 to 4 flies in each frog and my son gets a little frustrated by that. Make the frogs bigger OR put a whole under the frog so that it can actually "swallow" the flies. Overall a good entertaining toy.

I bought this game to help strengthen my son's hand grip and to reinforce his hand-eye co-ordination. We found the frogs easy to squeeze but my son is eight years old so he is stronger than the recommended age group for this game.

This is a fantastic game for preschoolers. It works on fine motor and social skills as well as color and number identification. The game can be played many different ways allowing children of all ability levels to participate. My students were able to play it independently in small groups after learning the rules. They also enjoyed using the pieces to make up stories.

Great for my Frog Loving Kid!

    5 out of 5 stars

My son loves frogs, so I knew he'd love this game! The game includes two frogs, 60 flies & 2 cubes that you roll to determine which flies to munch- one for how many & one for which color. It's great for practicing numbers & counting as well as colors! Then once you roll the cube, the fun begins- you squeeze the frog to open his mouth & get him to eat the flies! The game is for ages 3-7, but at age 3, my son actually struggles with getting the frogs to open their mouths. At first I thought it was a motor skills thing, which is a huge skill that this game helps with, but then I realized that his hands are just too small still to reach as far as they need to in order to squeeze the mouth open. You would think that means that my son wouldn't play the game much if at all, but he actually plays it all the time! He just plays differently. When we first got the set, he asked me to make the frogs some lily pads for them to sit on. He played with them just as normal frog toys for weeks- and he played with them every day! Then he moved on to playing with the flies, which he fed to all of his toys for awhile. Now he does both, and even though he still can't quite get the frogs to open their mouths, he's been trying to play the intended way lately! We roll the cubes, he identifies the number & color, and we count out that number of flies. Even though he can't get the frog to open up, he either just rolls the cubes again or asks me to hold the frog's mouth open for him so that he can insert the flies. The fact that my son loves this game despite not being able to properly play it shows me just how much fun he'll have it when he can play with it! I know that we'll be playing with it for years to come. Please note that I received this game in exchange for my review but all opinions are 100% my own.

I wanted to try out this Frog Game for number and color matching, but the main reason I wanted this was for fine motor development. I noticed over the last few years that students are coming in with less control. This is PERFECT to get those muscles working!
