A: Fenugreek is a bit of a mixed bag! For some parents, it works well to increase breast milk production, but for others, it has no effect or even decreases milk production. It can also cause gassiness/stomach upset in mom and baby, lower blood sugar, cause a maple syrup smell in mom's sweat and urine, and negatively impact the thyroid hormone. After analyzing the list of potential side effects, we decided to use alternative herbs that had a better safety profile. In fact, Legendairy Milk was the creator of the fenugreek free movement. Nursing and pumping bras, for example, are not covered. Cannot say anything bad about these!!! Make sure you take correct dosage and you’ll never have a problem with lactation. For a brief time I was scared I wasn’t producing enough for our young daughter so I had tried these pills and they were like magic. I was going from 3 ounces a session before these to anywhere from 10-15 ounces!! I did a lot of research too about lactation and was skeptical about trying any supplements but when I had come across these they were a life changer!! Went from being super discouraged before them about feeding and pumping to feeling like I’ve been getting wayyy too much (which was fantastic and overloading my fridge lol)!!

Intense tummy pain from gas for mom and baby.
Terrible experience for both me and my 4-month-old. We both had awful gas, and the pain I experienced was intense. This is the only bottle I’ve tried, and before using it, I was pumping 8 oz from each breast per session. After starting these, I’m lucky if I get 2 oz from each side. I’ve also noticed more blocked ducts since taking them. I’ve decided to switch back to what worked for me before, Mother’s Milk Tea. It was not only more effective in boosting my supply but also much cheaper. I’m really upset that my supply has dropped so drastically. Would not recommend, unless you’re okay with feeling bloated and having your baby deal with discomfort too.
