Description
The LEGO City Arctic Explorer Science Lab Truck (60471) building set lets adventurers 8 years old and up embark on polar expeditions to study wildlife and explore icy landscapes. This massive mobile research station puts kids in charge of their own scientific missions as they drive across snowy terrain with realistic 6-wheel suspension and deep-tread tires built for Arctic conditions. The rotating rooftop observatory helps explorers spot Arctic wolves and track weather patterns, while the fully equipped interior becomes their home base with everything needed for extended expeditions—a working laboratory for studying discoveries, a cozy living quarters with a kitchen and bedroom, and even a bathroom for those long polar nights. Five explorer minifigures each have important jobs to keep the mission running, from driving and photographing wildlife to conducting medical checks and maintaining equipment. Kids will love using the included snowmobile to create pretend play rescue scenarios, like exploring dangerous ice caves where three Arctic wolf figures—including an adorable pup—roam free. Perfect as a birthday gift for boys and girls who love creative pretend play, truck toys, and STEM exploration, this expedition headquarters can be combined with other LEGO City sets (each set sold separately) to expand the polar adventures. For an enhanced building experience, parents can help kids access the LEGO Builder app for helpful 3D viewing tools and progress tracking. Contains 1,064 pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from #influenster and #lego in exchange for an honest review and this was my impression: When I received this huge box I never thought how fabulous it would be to build this Arctic explorer science lab truck as a family, my nephews and children learned how to have educational value as they discovered how to share turns assembling each piece, there was a lot of versatility since each step was very well explained, the quality of each piece is so firm that you can see a solid durability, once assembled there is no doubt that the pieces being firmly assembled I will have the confidence that they will not come out and I will be sure that there will be no accidents. I am very happy with this product and I recommend it 100%.

The vehicle overall has a great design. Scale is a bit off, windows should close. Latter to the cab and trailer need a design that allows access from ground level. With the hight of the snowmobile (when attached) would have been nice to create a mechanism to lower and raise it. An exclusive colored wolf and a few pictures of the wolves and backpack for the photographer would have been great additions. Wonderful piece and element assortment for the price point. Fun building techniques for many skill sets. Minifig assortment B+, Plus two Wolves and a Wolf pup! This set needs a secondary set to make it feel more complete. The train doesn’t really cut it.
