This was my first time building a Lego set and I really enjoyed the process. The directions were spot on, just make sure to correctly identify the pieces that you need for each step first since some of the parts are very similar. One thing that I wish was better is the noise level of the motor. It isn't extremely loud, but just enough to not want it to be on for a longer period of time. With today's technology, I think that this could be much better. Overall, I enjoyed the build & loved all of the cute little extras that were incorporated into the scene (cat, bat, seagull, treasure chest).

What an intelligent and creative build! The engineering of the build structure and incorporation of the battery powered motor and lamps is well thought out and executed. Each step of the build left me awestruck and appreciative of this Lego purchase. The Fresnel lens design was very impressive! I appreciate Lego's attempt to perfect the best lens piece possible. Overall coordination of colours intermingle nicely to make a natural and homogenous look. I watched a youtube video where a Lego enthusiast changed the tower colours to show an alternating colour scheme of red and white for the light house tower. But, in my opinion it would look too busy! Thank-you Lego! From creator to designers to manufacturers and to all those involved in created the Mototrized Lighthouse, thank-you!

I really enjoyed this build as I wanted something to display on my bedside table. The build has so many cool little details (that lego includes a lot these days!) and the light mirror mechanism is just so unbelievably clever. The instructions were clear and contained so many fun facts! Fantastic build, easily one of my favourite sets.

I found this project excellent for build fun. There was very little frustration in getting components to fit. The printed manual is of limited use but the on line manual is excellent. It was fun to see it come together with lots of little “Easter eggs” incorporated into the design that added to the fun.

This was another great build. I got it to go next to my last build, The Endurance. There are lots of small pieces which end up creating lots of detail, and the light works as advertised. It rotates nicely, and is quite bright. A great build for anyone.

My son and I built this after Christmas, and what an absolutely charming set! It has amazing little details like the stove that lights up (and gives the keeper's cabin a warm glow) and the pirate cave with a chest full of treasure. What a fun build!

This was the best lego set I’ve ever built. I love the power function and lights. I was so curious to see how the motorized part would work and it’s very ingenious. I do wish the light was a bit brighter but it’s still very impressive in a dark room.
