Summary of reviews
This set offers a unique and colorful design that stands out among typical gray ships, making it a fun build for both young and old guests. The carry handle and opening bay doors enhance playability, while the sturdy construction allows for imaginative scenarios. However, some guests noted inaccuracies in the minifigures, particularly Commander Fox, which may affect overall satisfaction. Despite this, the set is praised for its engaging build experience and display potential.

#1 wrong commander. Thorn would have made much more sense. Did I see fox on Scipio? Nope. #2 where the heck is Clovis! #3 stud shooters, really? #4 only one door, not two #5 needed to be heavily modded

I love the carry handle design and opening bay doors, these features will make playing with this Lego more realistic and fun. I do wish LEGO went back to making more printed pieces I would have loved to see a piece with the printed galactic republic logo.
Definitely needed for the collection

Lots of people dislike this set for reasons I do not understand. I may be slightly biased since the republic gunship was always the coolest ship in my opinion, but this set is just amazing. Lots of people don’t like that the printings on commander fox are inaccurate, which they are, however it’s hard to notice unless you bought the set for that figure. If you are about to buy this set just for that figure, then buy an accurate version of commander fox’s minifigure at grandpa clone customs (gcc). It really doesn’t matter to me that it’s got inaccurate printings. On to the main part, the gunship itself is very sturdy and secure. You can fit about 10 troopers maximum on the inside if you have other clone troopers. In the front section it is quite easy to put padmé and palpatine, and there is actually enough space to put a small speeder in the front if you happen to have one! The stud shooters on the wings work very well and are easy to fire and play with, and from the front they resemble a bubble pod. The wings are in correct proportion finally which I love, since the wings were tiny on the previous gunships. The doors are easy to open and the hooks at the back are useful for opening the doors. The guns are very mobile, the cockpits are easily accessible and the cupboards are good for keeping the pilots’ spare guns. The hook is perfect for play. There are many tutorials for double doors online if you want them, although they are not at all necessary. This is my absolute favourite Lego set.
Fun! Storage for minifigures!

I am close to retirement age, but I know many who have already retired and having nothing to do. I am buying multiple sets of Legos now, so when retirement arrives, I will have fun building the great Lego sets I've purchased. And my grandkids can build with me, creating great memories and fun experiences. They will not only learn how to follow instructions, but how to use their minds and be creative by constructing items from their own imaginations.
Need better packaging

Better packaging is recommended. If I were the type of collector looking for pristine packaging, I would have been severely disappointed. The box and packaging were damaged during transit. However, I’m not and the packaging will be recycled anyways.

This is an awful set not accurate to the scene at all super small and a ripoff for your money. There is also no good play features compared to predecessor. Lego do better

The major issue I had with the set had to deal with commander Fox and his chest print. The white did not come out with the red. Altering the color to pink.

This set is well designed and fun to play, and I am playing LEGO with a cat. It swoops in with Emperor Palps to attack him while he sits in the sun. The size is good as it has all the functionality you want while not be too massive to zoom around the home. The only down side is the white printing on the commander as it us more pink.

Significantly worse than 2013

With the exception of what I subjectively consider a better color-scheme, this Coruscant Gunship is across the board inferior to its 2013 counterpart. It is a smaller, more condensed build with fewer play features, including less interior space, no bubble-turrets, no speeder/storage/equipment components in the front or rear, and a strange door design for the passenger cabin. Minifig selection is bizarre, lacking any pilots and, as mentioned countless times, having a really poorly printed Fox. When sitting side by side with it's counterpart from 2013, this model is very clearly a massive step backwards in terms of accuracy, function, features, and figures.

I have loved Star Wars Lego sets since their inception, and the Coruscant Guard Gunship is no exception! I usually purchase sets that will look great on our display shelves and have high play-ability. My son enjoys recreating Star Wars scenes in Lego stop-action, and this gunship and minifigures will add more depth to his arsenal.
