Cool looking, but could do more!
I'm really delighted with how the set looks. Putting it together was a joy, but once it's done there's not much to do besides open the doors. There's a big empty cargo area in the front with nothing to fill it with, and the missiles on top aren't represented in this version of the model. It's unfortunately also a little unwieldy with how unbalanced it is when holding it by the carry handle. It's a cool model, but I think younger builders especially might be disappointed with how little there is to do.

Underrated, Gets a Bad Rap
I'm gonna be honest: I really like this set. Of course, there are some pretty bad and noticeable issues, like the turrets on the end of the wings, the doors being only one instead of two, and the limited space in the cargo hold, but the design and colors are great. This could be a good or bad thing (depending on how you look at it), but with just a few modifications like adding ball turrets and cleaning up a few things would make this set perfect. Overall, it's a decent set if you can find it on sale.

An odd choice, but a welcome one
Definitely a weird choice to remake the iconic republic gunship in a red and white color scheme, but a great value. Yes it's downscaled, and it doesn't have anything on the 2013 or 2008 gunships, but it's still a solid set. Also nice to get Shock troopers and an updated Chancellor Palpatine and Padme minifigures, even if Padme should have had a better headprint. My biggest complaint (becides the colour) is the Commander Fox minifigure. The torso printing is absolutely horrific and LEGO continues to let us down by including those awful printed waistcapes. The build itself is very good however, aside from the stud shooters. The closing door function is amazing, and the build is extremely solid, however the downscaling is not appreciated.

Its good but not for price
Way to much money half the price would have been perfect. As usual light on figures, Fox was poorly done the shock troopers were good but the holes in the helmet is annoying. The handle interferes with the already crowed crew space I am a harsh reviewer and this overall is a good set just not worth more then 150AUD.

The older gunships were better
This set is one of the worst sets of 2023. First of all Commander Fox does not have a waistcape, his torso print is inaccurate, and his visor is the wrong color. Second of all the shock troopers have helmet holes. Third of all the gunship does not have two sliding doors and the turrets on the wings are in accurate.

Good set, minor problems
The set itself is very good looking with the only problems being the ball turrets not being circular and the two doors instead of 4 like we see in the series. About the figures, The Shock Troopers look good Padmé is fine aswell. I would have prefered Palpatine If he had actual legs. But Commander Fox is one big mess: His Chestplate appears as Pink Crooked prints. A gray instead of a black Visor And the lack of a waist cape. (There are no side builds. Its just the ship.)

Coruscant Guard Republic Gunship Review
Overall, I quite enjoy this set. The republic symbol stickers should have been prints, in my opinion, as the sticket is noticeably darker than the brick it is placed on. The build was fun, no complaints there. I would however, have preferred an additional clone trooper instead of Padmé. She's a nice figure, but I don't think she belongs in this particular set.

I like it
I really like the star wars gunship and that's why I bought this set .the figures were good i don't understand some complaints about them . The only problem I believe is the price I think Lego star wars series is a bit overpriced for what you get . If it was cheaper it would be easier for people to collect them and enjoy different sets

Very sturdy
It has a strong skeletal structure and therefore will not easily break, there could have been bubble turrets but it comes with some great minifigures

1 Bad Figure But an Excellent Gunship
This set gets a lot of criticism for its differences to previous versions, specifically regarding the color scheme, smaller size, and print issues on Commander Fox. Having built the new model, only the Commander Fox print is lacking. The dark red color is a refreshing change from classic Star Wars grey and the size feels more reasonable to the in-universe gunship while still having decent presence (especially nice wingspan). In exchange, you get a fantastically solid build with studs on the size paneling techniques vs. the previous brick on brick build, which makes this gunship more sleek and modern. The only unexpected issue I have is that the wings’ size makes it awkward to display on a normal bookshelf. I have to display it facing toward me, which is not my favorite angle. Overall, a fantastic build experience and a good-looking model, but it looks better with a display stand.
