[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Lexar ARMOR 700 Portable SSD and overall, I’m very happy with it. The speed is impressive—I was able to transfer a 32 GB folder in about 3 minutes, which is much faster than my older drives. I like that the cable includes both USB-A and USB-C in one, which makes it compatible with different devices. However, the design of the cable isn’t the most comfortable if you mainly want to use the USB-C connection—it feels a little awkward. The drive itself is lightweight, easy to carry, and the rubber protection gives me confidence that it can handle everyday use and travel. Overall, it feels durable, secure, and very convenient for backing up and moving large files quickly.

It's so compact, and you can shoot directly to the device instead of using phone storage, so that's a plus. I dropped it in a small puddle as it's been rainy here in NYC, and it still worked so it can take some water and a slight fall, and your precious memories will still be safe. It comes with the connector to attach to your phone as well, just wanted to add. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Tiny form factor and if you care about such things, it’s very pretty on your desk. What more can i ask for.

Size : I snapped a photo of it next to my Stanley to show how compact it is. Love that! Speed that keeps up : This is what you would expect with a pro-grade SSD. With its USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface, the drive promises up to 2000 MB/s read and write speeds, meaning offloading those hefty RAW files or 4K video is almost instantaneous—if your computer has the right port, that is. if your laptop doesn’t have a Gen 2×2 port—and most don’t—you're limited to around 1000 MB/s, which is still fast but half the speed. Durability : The IP66 rating means you don’t worry about light rain, or accidental splashes. And it’s supposedly drop proof as well. Thankfully, I haven’t tested that but Lexar claims up to 3 m of drop resistance. Stays cool : After transferring massive files, the Armor 700 doesn’t get uncomfortably hot which means its thermal control design is doing its job.
