LG 27GS95QE-B 27" UltraGear OLED QHD 2560x1440 240Hz G-SYNC Gaming Monitor

I purchased this monitor less than 4 months ago, and it already started having issues. First, a green dot appeared on the screen that wouldn’t go away. Now, the display has completely gone black with no image at all. I expected better quality and durability. Very disappointed with this purchase and would not recommend.

1440p, 240hz, HDR, VRR, inky OLED blacks… I wish it was glossy like their TVs though, maybe one day they’ll make a 27” version of their C or G series TVs.

I really like the sharpness and colour of the images. The price was great and delivery very prompt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this a month ago and by far the best 2k monitor on the market, amazing blacks and colors. Has a wonderful 245hz refresh rate which makes gaming on it amazing. Pair this with your ps5 or a 4070 or 4080 gpu and it’s an amazing experience.

Bought this monitor for my ps5 and it’s been perfect since I’ve had it the past couple weeks. I hooked everything up and had to adjust NOTHING once I powered my ps5 on. Would definitely recommend for any true gamer!

Gets bright in both SDR and HDR. Nice OSD and design and love the ease of use, by coming with a remote control.

Great picture, cool compact stand, but not bright enough. The cables that came with it were not up to date HDMI 2.1 or Display Port so the frame rate was limited. Basically this is a great quality monitor but not good enough to really take advantage of OLED technology.

What can I say other than this monitor is amazing!!! Have tweaking the colour and a few settings it looks perfect. Having come from an ips panel to OLED the image quality something else…the blacks are actually black lol. Response time is great and the fact I can get rid of my refresh rate cap and go whole hog is an absolute game changer!!!

I preordered this monitor and fell for the hype. Was GREATLY disappointed when it arrived due to how dim it is compared to other normal monitors. I can't believe this product was released, my non-OLED LG monitor that I use with it has to be set to 50 brightness to match how dim this monitor is and not blow it out by being WAY brighter

Its only redeeming quality is the motion performance. - dim w/ aggressive ABL on top - not color accurate - poor near black performance - weird pixel layout for text rendering - matte anti glare coating Highlights in images don't look white. They look grey even when the ABL hasn't kicked in. The ABL is super aggressive and seems to work based on the percentage of white content in the image being displayed and not on the monitors actual capabilities. Even setting the brightness to the lowest setting will have the display become even dimmer when displaying high average brightness images. When bright highlights are shown it looks like a blobby smudge of off-white. Colors look washed out and not vibrant at all. Solid primary colors look saturated and bright but as soon as more complicated images start being displayed it completely washes out and smears together. Near black performance is shockingly bad. It both crushes certain details in the shadows by not being able to display near black tones. But also has elevated black levels for the lowest dark tones it can produce. Creating very visible light grey outlines around these tones. Shows up especially bad with low quality video with macro blocking in shadow areas. The pixel layout creates noticeable text rendering and general sharpness issues. A good monitor should be like looking through a window to see an image. the more you notice the monitor the worse the monitor is. The text rendering issues and the general blurriness and smeary-ness of the monitor is extremely noticeable. Im not totally against matte coatings on monitors sometimes its necessary depending on the room the monitor is used in. But I don't see the point of the matte coating here. If there is any ambient light in the room with this monitor forget about it. Its too dim for a dark room! And then there are the other negatives of matte coating that just exacerbate every problem with the monitor. The poor color calibration from the monitor is even worse because of the matte coating. The weird pixel layout and sharpness issues are made even worse because of the grain and smeary-ness of the coating. While there was some grain on the matte coating of my old lcd monitor it seems the implementation on the oled monitor is way worse than that. Very noticeable coating grain with blotchy pattern. As a fan of oled technology. I love my oled displays with my tv and my tablet and phone. I was excited to upgrade my pc monitor with the technology. I was really disappointed with this monitor especially for the price that was being charged.
