Lot of off gassing with these plates. The sleeves do not fit snuggly on Olympic bar. You get what you pay for, as they say! $ was reasonable. Would not buy again

We are sorry for your negative experience with the weight plates. The smell you noted is common for products made with rubber and will diminish over time. We have not heard of any issues with the collars on the plates not fitting properly on Olympic bars.
