We alternate this between the pleated filters in the winter, and utilize this one exclusively in the summer months. So far, so good! We take it out and hose it off, and let it sun-dry. No problems!. Purchasing this was probably one of my better decisions. In the Arizona summer, it's not uncommon to have dust storms frequently
