Second time dome climber purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Second dome climber for our family. I built both of them by my 5-foot-3 buck-25 self. Set aside a couple hours, watch the YouTube tutorial, read the instructions. You will be satisfied with this climber. Worth every penny. We have a parachute that we put over the top to turn it into a shady fort on sunny days. Brightens up the backyard a ton.
Decent climber that's not easy to put together, just pray you never have to take it apart to move it!

We bought this 5 years ago. It was kind of a pain to assemble, but lots of big stuff is so no big deal. It seemed it kind of bent easily whenever we moved it around to mow under it but sturdy when the kids were on it. After 5 years it's already rusty on the parts that touch the ground, and some other places. The bigger issue? As we tried to take it apart to move it to our new house, all the allen head screws stripped. No way to get them out. Already tried all the hacks, got a screw extractor set that won't work because they're Allen head screws rather than regular ones. The bars are now bent and cracking where we got a few pieces taken apart from the pressure of not being supported. The whole thing is now trash. Really expensive toy for only 5 years of use. And we have 5 young kids all upset that we have to throw it away.

We're sorry to hear that your dome climber is rusting. This shouldn't be happening, especially since the the steel used to build our playsets are made with a weather resistant powder-coated finish that protects from cracking, warping, rot or splinters. It is made to be rust-resistant. However, we recommend using a rust treatment for extra protection a couple times a year, especially if you live in a high humidity climate. Try reaching out to our customer service experts. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).

This is a cool piece to add to backyard playground. My biggest complaint is that after only about a year having it, the beige color started to rust. Now after a couple years, it's fully rusting on just that color it seems. I'm thinking about spray painting the whole thing, but for a LIFETIME product, I don't feel like I should have to do this. Disappointed.

We bought this approximately 3-4 years ago for our grandkids, 2 and 4 at the time. They still climb on it. Had to replace the bottom connection pieces at they rusted out at the joints, however, this may be due to the landscaper's having to move it every week for lawn maintenance. Customer service was very helpful in obtaining replacements parts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife purchased the climbing dome several years ago. The grandchildren have enjoyed playing on it when they come over. I moved the dome several times over the years when cutting the grass. Unfortunately, one of the bottom bars rusted out and broke. Called customer service and the young lady was very helpful. I ordered five replacement bars, just in case some of the others rust out as well over time. Young lady helped me placed the order and the replacement bars should be here in a couple of weeks.

Buyer beware! This outdoor climbing structure does not last long when used outdoors. Our structure has completely rusted on the bars and joints, I have to throw it away as it is no longer safe for my children to use. Waste of money, will not be purchasing from Lifetime again.

Got this for our 6 and 8 year old for Christmas and they love it. I can’t speak to how assembly went, as my husband took care of that. He had a couple people help him and they were done in 2 hours or so. A few months after we got it, a large branch fell out of a tree during a storm and landed on our climbing dome, bending two of the bars. Customer service was amazing in helping me get the extra parts we needed to repair it. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved to a new location, and I had to disassemble our dome prior to moving so we could pack it and bring it with us. It's only a couple years old so I didn't want to leave it with the old house. In the process, I stripped a couple of the bolts and many of the nuts were pretty rusty. I contacted Lifetime to ask after what size bolts and nuts I should get as replacements or if they offered replacements. I was shipped a full set of nuts, bolts, and washers at no charge. In these days of supply shortages and relative high cost of doing business, that's just dang impressive. The kids love the dome. It's back up and in service at our new house and primed to go what seems like a few decades.

My seven year old cannot get enough of this climber! I managed to build it with the help of my kiddo and two metal patio chairs, so if you are solo parenting this thing, it can be done! We managed to lose some of the handhold parts, and Lifetime sent us replacements quickly and for free. Great item and terrific customer service. Highly recommend!

A friend gave us a Lifetime climbing dome when they moved out of town. Great product. One of the hand holds broke upon re-assembly. Lifetime replaced the hand hold free of charge. Their response was very quick and professional. The quality of service one expects, but seldom sees these days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit for our two sons to use. Nice to have a 60-inch climbing dome available for personal use. The boys love it and being able to hang like a bat. Fairly easy to assemble with a few extra hands. I used my boys as my assistants. Weight is good enough to be sturdy but light enough to move around without much fuss. Powder coating on the bars will provide long term protection against corrosion and also aids with keeping a grip while climbing. The handholds located at the joints are sturdy and built for long term use too. We are very happy with this purchase and with several Lifetime products we own. Keep up the good work and thanks!
Climbing Dome offers creative play

I wanted something other than the typical swing set and I wanted to encourage climbing and creativity in the play. When I saw the climbing dome made by lifetime I ordered confident in the quality as I own other lifetime products. I’m glad I ordered the larger size as the neighborhood kids are using it too. I called customer service to order a part to replace one my son broke while putting the dome together (he was using too much torque) and the service representative was so helpful, wish I could get that kind of customer service from other companies. Lifetime holds the gold standard in quality of products and customer service for me!
