Lifetime Big Stuff ® Swing Set, Primary Colors (91086)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This swing set was bought for my son’s 1st birthday 18 years ago. It’s rusting but still standing. My younger kids and nephews now use it. I may need to replace all the rusting pieces but we’re still happy with this purchase. This is something we’re trying to keep as long as possible. We have so many beautiful memories with this swing set.

I bought this a year ago and it has been great. The kids love it. The reason I finally decided to write a review is because it showed it's durability today. An 85 mph windstorm ripped out the spiral anchors and tossed it into the air. It landed on its tower roof, rolled to the side and yet there is minimal damage to the set. Two neighbors helped me pick it up and put it back were it belongs.

She was very quick in assisting me through our email exchange and has registered my playset after I got (I tried to do it myself) but she personally handled it herself. She was very patient and generous about my requests and concerns. The only thing I wish would improve are our slide came in scuffed (could’ve covered with something, most hardwares were easily got broken (glad we own a hardware store so that’s not a problem but my anxiety was through the roof because they kept breaking on us), and labels on the big parts (we kept guessing which is which—we flipped the tubes for climbing board but didn’t make any difference; just my OCD seeing the holes). It very easy to assemble and I recommend 2 people—we did things separately; Took us approx 6 hrs with 2 sets of tools. We had Youtube and the physical manual as our guide. I’m 5’4 and 150lbs and have no problems with lifting anything… Just reaching lol, so make sure you have a 4-step stool for the roof and the swings! We bought this for my 2-y/o toddler. At first I was scared, even though she’s at 86%, I could tell she struggled a bit because of “height issues”. I tried everything before letting her use each part, and my husband did, too. I’m so glad we went with Lifetime; I initially considered getting wooden one but I can’t stand splinters and the look after 1-2 yrs. This is definitely sturdy and can hold our weight together (my husband, my toddler, and I). So we’re enjoying it, too!! I hope this would last at least 10 years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We found the installation challenging but very rewarding. The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. This was an enjoyable project that brought the whole family together. The monkey bars are a big hit and so is the playhouse with the slides. We plan on having fun and enjoying our play ground for many years to come!

We have a 6, 4, and 1 year old. The kids have loved this playground as well as the neighbor kids! I know we will have plenty of years of use even for our oldest. It took my husband around 9 to 10 hours to build on his own.

This playset is built like a tank and I'm very excited about watching my kiddos enjoy it for many years to come. My one complaint was that the larger pieces were labeled in the instructions but not actually labeled so it made things a bit more difficult than it needed to be. Overall though, fantastic experience putting this set together

This is one heavy duty play set. It’s hard to line up bolts unless on perfectly flat ground. Boxes weren’t labelled for setup. Other than a couple minor inconveniences, they play set is great and hope it last until the kids are all grown up.

To start we purchased this set because it required less routine maintenance as compared to the wooden sets sold at various big box stores. It also had a nice mix of elements/features, and when inspecting similar lifetime sets found locally we found them to be well built with a nice finish. The delivery came in about 2 weeks on an extra long pallet, 3 times the length of a a standard pallet. The delivery company was ABF, and the driver took great care in unloading the set, and encouraged us to inspect for damage. A standard pallet Jack could not move the set, so the pieces were off loaded individually. Overall we found the instructions to be good, and we didn’t have to use any of the provided spare parts. A level area to start is key, or find a method to have each leg be made level. Additionally, we found a response from lifetime to a posted question online regarding the placement of the set in relation to the recommended depth of mulch. This is important as the set is not to be placed on top of the mulch, and the instructions do not address this well. We had 2-3 adults aid in assembling at various points, and it definitely cannot be easily assembled solo. The set could be put together in a weekend 10-12 hours, possibly less time with more aid. Overall not a hard build, but definitely time consuming. I would classify myself as an advanced DIYer/ civil engineer professionally.

Bought this set two years ago and it’s started rusting and now there are actual holes on supporting rails from the rust! Absolutely disappointing! Contacted customer service and they say it’s” due to the weather “. It’s been only two years! No warranty for wasting 2k on a product that should at least last 5-7 years if not longer!

I bought this for a christmas gift, Quality is excellent grandchildren play on it everyday

This playset is amazing! Even our 14 year old grandson loves playing on it with his siblings! We shortened the swing chain for him and he had so much fun swinging and laughing! This is a very durable and well made product! My husband and I are 65 and thankfully, he is very fit and can handle heavy things! I was like a support person. Some of these parts are very heavy!! At times I wish another man had been here to help him. But he and I got it put together and my grandchildren love the swing under the fort!

The level of service of this company is the best I have ever seen. thank you.

Follow the directions closely and the set goes together very easily. The set is very sturdy. I didn't anchor it and my grandchildren swing high causing very little lifting of the legs of the swing. The issue I had was with the shipping company. The shipping company destination was only 7 miles from me. They shipped the swing across the country, but when it arrived to the shippers destination, they failed to meet the delivery date because they wanted more money to deliver it to my home even though my purchase already included delivery. Lifetime and Homedepot took care of the extra cost they wanted.

Quality product. The grandchildren love it. Their parents love to swing on it too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is big, sturdy, and looks nice. The colors don’t draw your eye, so it looks great in the yard and isn’t distracting. My 3 year old and 7 year old love it and my 10 year old isn’t too big to enjoy it with them from time to time. It was a lot of work to set up (my husband and I worked all day), but will last for years to come with no maintenance. And because there is no wood we don’t have to worry about carpenter bees and restaining. We love it!

Now that the play set is assembled it is wonderful, and we are happy with the purchase. However, the shipping process was less than smooth, and we were missing a box and several large pieces when it did arrive. These were shipped promptly when we notified Lifetime.
