Q: How much overhang do the rods require on each end (double rods)? I would like to mount these for double curtains over my window, but want to know how much space is required.

A: You can decide where you want the curtains to stack while completely open, do you want the curtains to clear the windows or still cover a bit of the window? It will depend on how wide the windows are. Generally speaking six to eight inches on each side is a good distance.

Q: What is the weight capacity for the double rod in the length of 66"-120" as I would like to hang a few curtain panels?

A: Hello, the diameter of the single rod is 1 1/8", the depth of the end cap finial is 1/2", and the diameter of the end cap finial is 1 1/2".

I used the curtain rod over my closet to hang some drapes that I used to replace dated closet doors. The curtain rod was easy to install. The rod is strong and I was able to hang 4 canvas panels without a problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rod delivers, everything I needed and wanted. First up very easy to install, came with screws, supports and the rod with easy to understand directions, you just need a drill. It uses 2 supports at each end of the rod that fasten into the wall and there is no middle support (so no sagging in the middle) and the curtains hang straight. The rod itself is lite weight and the curtains slide on easily and then set the rod on the supports at each end and done.
