The new Lipton zero sugar iced tea mixes have received mixed feedback from guests, with many expressing disappointment over the taste and smaller packaging. While some appreciate the convenience and refreshing flavors, others miss the original formulations that offered a more authentic taste. The product's ease of mixing and sugar-free options are highlighted as positives, but the artificial taste and reduced quantity have led to dissatisfaction among loyal fans.

Terrible Flavor: New Version Lipton Zero Sugar Ice
My favorite drink used to be Lipton’s Diet, aka Zero Sugar, Iced Tea Mix with Lemon. I used to purchase the 8.1 oz., 28 quart containers with the yellow plastic cap. I haven’t been able to purchase this brand and size of Lipton Zero Sugar Iced Tea with Lemon for a while. Lipton has offered what appears to be a new formulation, in a smaller 10 quart containers with a blue plastic cap. This new formulation is terrible. It tastes terrible. It is not sweet, nor does it have lemon/citrus flavor, and the iced tea mix does not dissolve, leaving a sludge in the bottom of the glass. I really wish Lipton would return to their Diet Iced Tea Lemon or Zero Sugar Iced Tea Mix with Lemon formula, which dissolved in my glass, which tasted like sweet tea with lemon, with zero sugar. I’ve thrown away the 8 containers of the new formulation that I had purchased, as they are not drinkable and they taste terrible.

Please Bring Back The Original 100% Real CaneSugar
I’ve been a loyal Lipton peach iced tea drinker for years — specifically the version made with real cane sugar and a short, simple ingredient list. It was consistently refreshing, well-balanced, and something I genuinely enjoyed on a daily basis. This new “zero sugar” version is, frankly, a major disappointment. The taste comes across as overly artificial, with that lingering, chemical sweetness that makes it difficult to finish a glass. It doesn’t resemble the original product in any meaningful way. I understand the push toward zero-sugar options, but replacing a well-loved, straightforward product with something this artificial feels like a step in the wrong direction. There are customers who don’t want sugar substitutes — we want the original, made with real ingredients. And many of us would gladly pay more for it. I’m completely serious when I say: if the original peach powder with real cane sugar were available, I would happily buy a 50–100 lb stockpile just to have it on hand. That’s how much better it was. It’s genuinely frustrating to see a product like that disappear, especially when the replacement doesn’t come close in taste or quality. Please consider bringing back the original — even as a premium or limited offering. There is clearly still demand for it. Until then, I’ll be looking for alternatives, even though the original Lipton version was hard to beat.

Too Acidic
I used to drink the old Diet Lemon Iced Tea -- a lot of it, made very strong. I cannot drink this at all! The addition of citric acid (the old version had malic acid) has actually made it painful to drink. My throat feels like I have been drinking actual acid. It sometimes hurts so bad it brings tears to my eyes. And, it's the tea mix, nothing else in my diet. If I don't drink the tea, this feeling goes away. Please, please, please, reformulate this! The old version had been my go-to for so long, and I cannot drink this at all!

Don't Order Online from Target
Live in FL, ordered the tea for delivery when it wasn't in stock. feb 8. It shipped from Chicago, went to GA, THEN SC, and been stuck in NC since Feb 15 with no updates.. Why on earth would you send our order NORTH to NC when we live in FLORIDA? And NO, I doubt we will ever order online through Target for delivery ever again. Especially since we were billed for entire order, paid it in full and have yet to see 1/3 of it. AND we have tried to get a refund, but since we don't have the product, we have nothing to return. I wish I could give a NEGATIVE 5 on review.

Price outrageous per serving
OK, I can get past the new taste and even the smaller container. However, I should not have to break up the mix (solid mass is not a mix) and the price is several times the previous product. I can only rarely drink the sugar option (which makes my Dentist happy) so I've switched to hot water as my option to coffee - does that tell you how expensive your product has become?

From good to bad to worse.
There is NO WAY you could have done adequate market research with your longtime users of this product and got where you are today. You took what was a staple in my house for decades and pretty much trashed it. First you changed the sweetener then you changed the size and then the concentration. Not to mention that I had to result to buying it on line because I could hardly find it in stores anymore. Did you guys hire the same person who thought changing Cracker Barrel was a good idea?

Awful and expensive
ABSURDLY expensive, insanely small. What happened to the 28 quart version? Even those were half full... I get y'all are cheap and cutting corners, but this is gross AND grossly overpriced. I'll actively avoid **all** Lipton products in the future. And I didn't need your crappy AI generated review topics to write this either. Shame on you.

Artificial taste
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not a huge fan of this product. It has an artificial taste that is not for me. It is super easy and quick to make though. It’s possible that an unflavored option would be better as well.

can is 3 inches tall. RIPOFF
tiny 2 oz!!?? RipOff!!!! did the Lipton factory run out of tea? Their only product!!! they have sold out to make a huge profit. Quality control? it used to taste pure and natural. very reliable for years. This tastes like it's super processed, and the color is light beige, not dark like realty. not like the old formula. Lipton had one job. and they failed miserably. stop buying this product or you will waste your money. highly upset and highly disappointed. my cans USED TO BE large and it would last all summer ...this lasts one week. I will make tea with tea bags. ridiculous. corporate America sell out. can is 2 oz SUPER TINY - a Gerber infant (newborn size) exactly the size of the half baby food jar?

Huge price increase
Huge price increase for zero sugar, last year it was $8.49 for 38 quarts, now it is $4.99 for only 10 quarts! Such a shame as this was a good project, now I will stop buying this. The reduced sugar version bumps calories from 10 calories per 12oz glass to 70 calories. Not too many choices now.

Terrible
This new tea is terrible. I have happily drank the previous Diet Iced Tea mix in the glass jars for close to 40 years. I bought as many as I could when I noticed Lipton was not restocking. Please, please, please bring back the previous mix as I am half way through my last jar. There seems to be several other people that have the same feelings as me. I don’t understand why you would replace a perfectly refreshing tea mix with this very unpleasant tasting tea. So disappointing.
