Really pleasantly surprised!!!
All of the reviews saying it is a poor excuse for hot chocolate really are missing the point here. It’s not supposed to be a creamy hot chocolate product. It’s a hydration supplement so it’s obviously not going to be exactly like hot cocoa. But I was REALLY surprised at how good it was and how similar to hot chocolate it could be. I made it with hot water and then added a splash of heavy cream and really enjoyed it for what it is!!!

Yummy
for what you’re buying , it tastes really good. The purpose is for it to be a healthier alternative to a sugary drink. It doesn’t taste like Swiss miss but it does taste like hot chocolate. In my opinion, it isn’t salty or floral-like at all. It just tastes like a bit watered down hot chocolate but it’s good for what it is!

Oh, yeah, no.
If you want hot chocolate, this isn't it. This is weird artificially-sweetened-tasting but also somehow kind of tangy-salty water that had the idea of chocolate added to it. As soon as I opened the packet, the smell put me off, but I already had the hot water ready, so I forged ahead. Unfortunately, it did not get better. Under the top note of chocolate, there's a weird fruity-floral that makes me think of a bad restroom air freshener. As for the hydrating aspects, I will say that when I finished my mug of this hot chocolate product, my mouth didn't feel as sticky with overwhelming sweetness as it does with traditional hot chocolate mixes, so I guess it has that going for it.

I actually really enjoyed this. Trying to get more electrolytes in me in the winter and all the fruit flavored ones are not doing it for me. Compared to LMNT brand chocolate (which I had to add actual hot chocolate powder to) this is really pleasant and I bought hot chocolate to add to it but didn't feel like I needed it! I did add a bit of milk to it though and I think that made a difference. It does have a slight stevia aftertaste (assuming this is the floral taste everyones mentioned) and very slightly salty aftertaste but nothing like the LMNT brand which is like drinking straight salt and cocoa (does have less electrolytes than that one though). I would recommend this!

Salty Bog Water
The smell should've been the biggest clue. I don't know how to describe it but maybe wet, salty, burnt bog smell. I thought it was just something to do with the electrolytes...🤢. The taste for the first millisecond was normal hot chocolate but then the bog taste hit. Nearly made all three of us spew it out. Dumped it out immediately and hopefully it's refundable. If you like it, more power to you.

Not bad, gets the job done
I’m sick and really wanted something warm and sweet to drink. I decided to go with Liquid IV because it’s hydrating and has only 30 calories a packet. It’s no swiss miss so if you’re expecting something super sweet or something very decadent, I’d steer clear. It does have some peculiar floral notes and it’s very light on the chocolate. It’s also not very creamy with water (duh) but I imagine if you substituted the water for milk it would be tastier. Either way, I like it. Especially with a little whipped cream. I don’t get the saltiness that others were describing but I’m also very dehydrated from being sick. If it’s salty to you, you may not need the extra electrolytes.

um? idk what to say. this was genuinely so so bad. the hot chocolate looked nearly black in 8oz of water, so I added more (another 8oz) and the color didn’t change. the flavor and smell was really really bad. did not taste like hot chocolate at all. I figured there would be a difference, but there was no similarity at all

This is so yummy!! It is obviously not the name brands overly sweet type of sugary cocoa. It is so good though and seems so much simpler! A little bit of saltiness, but it’s an electrolyte drink!! I made mine with milk instead of water.

Super Yummy Treat.
I have POTS, this is absolutely delicious. The people that are complaining about this obviously don’t need the electrolytes like I do. This is such a nice treat. 2 packets and some marshmallows. Liquid Iv really did a great job here!

Ignore the reviews - this is GOOD!
I really dont know what the bad reviewers expected. Did they expect this to have a rich flavor like standard hot chocolate packets? Because this isnt packed with artificial flavors and a bunch of sugar and other things your body doesnt need, but we've become addicted to. This tastes and smells like hot chocolate and its good for you! Please give it a try and dont expect it to taste like that one popular hot chocolate brand. Its not that, it's BETTER.
