Her research and publications focus on court-connected dispute resolution processes, problem-solving roles and negotiation models for lawyers, and judicial mediation. In 2016, Professors Keet and Heavin were awarded the Gonthier Fellowship by the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, which led to a series of articles on the topic of litigation risk assessment, available at papers .ssrn.com/sol3/cf_dev/AbsByAuth.cfm?per_id=1723623. She is regularly invited to present to audiences of lawyers, judges, and mediators across Canada. Prior to joining the law faculty, she worked in private practice as a litigator and also has 25 years of experience as a mediator. Heather Heavin is associate dean of research and graduate studies and an associate professor with the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan. She has a BSc (hons) and LLB from the University ofSaskatchewan and LLM from Harvard University.
