A: LMNT does not use Himalayan salt, sea salt, or table salt. These are all sources of sodium chloride (salt) and each comes with certain tradeoffs. LMNT’s salt is extracted and produced in Hutchinson, Kansas through an evaporated manufacturing process. Hutchinson, Kansas — or Salt City, as it’s known — is home to salt deposits that were formed about 300 million years ago from a “great inland sea” that has since been covered up with earth. These deposits sit between 500 and 1,000 feet below the Earth’s surface and are regarded as one of the purest salt deposits in the world.

I know the point is to be very high in sodium, but it was a little too much for me. It suggested to mix a packet with 32 ounces of water, and I had to mix it in 64 ounces to make it drinkable.
