Locking Media Storage Cabinet Black - Prepac

Pieces were not labeled, holes were not sized correctly, would not recommend. Instructions were also very unclear about what pieces attach to which piece.

This cabinet was incredibly difficult to assemble. In addition, it claims to hold 332 Blu-rays and it doesn’t hold nearly that. The shelf spacing is off and makes for unusable space. Terrible design.

There are 2 reviews in here that I agree with which are: 1) the locks don't work (in the process of getting a chain and lock myself because of this) 2) instructions were a bit difficult to follow (considering a few diagrams told you one thing for the instructions while the other showed you the opposite) The other thing I didn't like was how the tie slip didn't work so now my cabinet has a hole in it (which thankfully it came with a marker to hide the hole that had to be created. Of course they did this so people won't complain when their product comes with scratch marks on it. And it looks like I'm not the only one that received it like that). Also, I'm not sure if this is just a mistake on the manufacturer's part or whoever made the instructions but apparently there was supposed to be a nice oak handle but I never received one. Only the other handle in the diagram was there and its duplicate. Why say there's something nicer in it when there isn't? Regardless, I have handles and I'm ok with it but that does need to be checked and edited. Even so, I did like how it fits my dvds and VHS tapes nicely and the overall look of it. I'm looking forward to getting more DVDs added to my collection and getting a lock and chain to properly lock my cabinet. So, if you can look past its negative aspects then I suggest you get it. However, if you're unable to then a mounted wall shelf or something else will be a better recommendation. I may get one for the future in addition to this cabinet but either way I'm happy with it.

Despite the 4 star rating, I really like this product. It's a lot heavier than I imagined for the price, but it gets the job done. The only issue I have is with the locking mechanism. It's difficult to get lock the left cabinet if the shelf is full. It's actually quite impossible unless you lay a few flat so that you have room to reach in. Otherwise it's nice.

Pretty easy to put together and has great storage, however there are two locks instead of one. Obviously there is the lock with the key on the right side and then there is a hidden hatch on the inside of the left door that's kind of tricky to lock sometimes. I was under the impression that the lock was for both doors, but that isn't true.

These cabinets went together easily, the only thing is that they are missing a magnet to hold the doors closed so I put velcro on it instead and it works great. They are very nice looking and sturdy.
