Lamp looks nice and is sturdy but when I unpacked the box after cutting a lot of box tape off the lamp parts, I discovered someone had cut the electrical wire that runs throughout the lamp so the lamp is useless. If this hadn’t happened, I would give it 5 stars because I can tell it’s a nice lamp.

Almost left a one-star review because the part to attach center post to the one below it was crooked and the post wouldn’t screw on. Even straightening it out with a wrench didn’t help—it was straight now but I assumed the threads were faulty because it wouldn’t screw together. Gave it several more tries and managed to force it on (not without some blisters). Now that it’s finished and looks how it’s supposed to, I’d recommend it and might get another but it isn’t without its quality control issues.

I saw the bad reviews but decided to buy anyway because target has a great return policy. Definitely would recommend! Mine was perfect. No slant. Went together very nicely. The shade is kinda cheap but looks very nice. I included a picture of how the spikes come out of the shade. For 55 bucks I don't mind, you don't notice unless you inspect closely. I may replace with a nicer lamp shade at a later time. The base is very heavy and weighted well to prevent tips. I have mine on carpet and it stands beautifully. I bought for a spare bedroom because I had a guest coming and no light in that room. Since they left I have moved to an empty corner of my living room. At first I wasn't too sure about liking the ornamental balls at the bottom but now I really like the whole look of the lamp. It has a very nice classic look and goes really well in my home with my modern farmhouse vibe.

I like this lamp so much, I bought three of them! On the down-side the pull-chain feels stiff, so to ensure the lamps' longevity I moved the switch to the outlet itself. Should last a long time with that set-up.

I just bought this lamp in July and already broke!!! The pull cord feeds through a flat piece that sticks out and that snapped off and I had to hold the lamp to pull the cord out to turn it on and a few weeks of that and now it won’t even turn on at all!! It wasn’t cheap and to get less than a year out if it is bull!!! Not happy at all!! I have those $10 tall cheap lamps that have last years, so u definitely expected to get more use out of a $55 lamp!
