Q: Do I need a box spring under this mattress if it is going to be put directly on wooden slats on the bed frame? The pictures make it look like I don't need one but want to make sure.

Great mattress! Arrived on time and packaged well. When unwrapped mattress rose exactly how it is supposed to. It fits the top bunk perfectly and my son loves it. Sleeps much better on it then he did his previous mattress.

This mattress did not expand. It has spots where it’s collapsed and didn’t rise. It’s basically garbage!

Hey Courtney, We are sorry to hear that you had this experience. Due to the way the mattress is packaged, this may happen if a great deal of weight was placed on the box either in shipping or storage. Depending on how much weight was on the box and for how long will determine the length of time it will take for full expansion. It may take a few days or a few weeks. When this happens, however it is the base foam that absorbs the impact, so the mattress may be used until it expands all of the way. The base foam doesn't provide any softness, but just supports the memory foam layers so the mattress won't feel different with the last few inches. In fact, it often helps if the mattress is used both because of the increase in temperature of the foam when someone is using the mattress and because an area might be pinched that movement on the mattress can help "unpinch". This mattress is terrible! It does not get as big as advertised, it doesn’t even rise enough to fit a twin sheet. It is also extremely uncomfortable, feels like you’re laying on a block of cement. Please do not buy.

This bed is amazing! We got it as a spare bed and ended up moving it into my son's room instead! It takes a few mins for it to get to its natural shape/thickness once removing it from the box. Just have patience and you'll be happy you did!!

This memory foam mattress is awesome. Easy to unroll, just use the opener provided and watch it fluff up over the period of a couple hours. It really is comfortable yet firm. Perfect size for a platform. Great price!

We recently moved and we decided to upgrade my son to a “big boy bed”. This mattress was such a good value I decided on it, and couldn’t be happier with it! It comes rolled up and expands quickly. It’s thick and so soft, like a massive pillow! My son absolutely loves it.

I purchased this mattress for my daughters bed and we loved it. It was easy to lay it out to rise. If we wore afraid that it would have a smell, but it didn’t at all. Shipping was fast even with this pandemic so thank you target!!! In all we give it 5 stars since we will definitely buy this mattress again in the future for our other daughter.
