Engage is close to my home and it also wasn't too ridiculous in price so I gave them a shot. The rep was very good and he convinced me to get the hearing aids because I had been putting it off forever. Before when there was background noise, I never knew what anybody was saying. If I wasn't looking directly at them, I would have no clue what was going on. Now, I can hear more conversations. I'm hearing stuff I hadn't heard in 20 years. But I might have to get the hearing aids adjusted down a little bit because everything's so loud. I thought maybe I'd get a little used to it but it's actually annoying. But other than that, the hearing aids are working out fine.

I went to Engage to ask them what the basic start out price was for hearing aids and Nicole, the rep, gave me all the information. It was great customer service. I'd give her an A+ of going out of her way. I wanted to postpone and come back at a later date but she said she would go out of her way to stay there late for me to come in because I had weird hours. She showed me the difference between the top-of-the-line to the bottom-of-the-line. She also let me try the different ones out in the store. She takes pride in her work. There have been at least three people that I have told to get their hearing checked if they want hearing aids. I've had a few hearing tests done but I've never had one like that. It seemed to me like the hearing test with Engage went a little more in depth of what I was having problems with, instead of just beeps, with the voices, different words. It was completely different. I've only had the hearing aids in my ears for about 48 hours. I'm still learning the tweaks and the things but I like the idea of being on my phone. Because the first day I wore them back to work, I went into the office and there was a bunch of guys talking in there, and it was extremely loud. I just pulled my phone out, turned the volume down a little bit and went on my way. Since using the hearing aids, there is a difference in the stuff that I heard. I never heard it clearly, crisp and as I did before. I'm very satisfied with everything so far.
Streaming needs some improvement

I have had the hearing aids for a week and a half. It is my first set of hearing aids. They work fine for listening to my wife. The streaming has some issues with not connecting all the time. Have to turn the blue tooth on and off and or start the app. I also have to reset the audio equalizer most of the time when first hooking up the streaming. It does not remember the last setting I have had some problems where I have to reset the hearing aids by opening the battery compartments to make them work for streaming. I have also noticed that I loose streaming connection to one the hearing aids depending on where the phone is when walking outside. This has occurred when I have my phone in my hand which is swinging as I walk. I plan on keeping the hearing aids, but wish the streaming would improve with software updates.

Unfortunately I had to return them as my hearing loss is too great, other than that they did everything that was advertised.
I can finally hear my wife & daughter when they talk, & the TV can now be set to a pleasant volume.

1. My Engage hearing aids are amazing and the setup is so user friendly. 2. They fit into my hears perfectly and they are honestly so comfortable. 3. The bluetooth interface is so easy to use and connects to my phone flawlessly. 4. When I'm listening to music on my IPhone, if I get a phone call, the Lucid Hearing Software Application automatically switches me from listening to music to the person on the phone, and goes back to Spotify Music once the phone conversation has ended. 5. The hearing aid are barely visible and they are so small. I don't know how they get all of the functionality into these small hearing aids. 6. On the music streaming side, the Lucid Hearing Application that you will download for free onto your smart phone, includes an EQ, they call it an Audio EQ, i.e. an Equalizer so you can adjust the volume of the Bass frequency, the Middle Low frequency, the Middle High frequency and the Treble frequency. It turns my hearing aids into headphones, with very good sound quality, adjusted via the EQ to exactly correct the hearing issues I have. My ears have damage from playing in Rock and Roll bands, and the EQ feature compensates for my hearing loss. 7. Finally, the Lucid Engage Team continues to improve the hearing aid firmware, to make your experience even better, and their latest enhanced feature is called "Lucid Shape", and they have a simple, cost free way, to have the upgrades integrated into your hearing aids. 8. My daughter got me these hearing aids for my Birthday last October and I honestly love them!!

I just turned 67 and I have known for years that I needed a hearing aid. I went to an audiologist, got the expected result, and I went with his recommendation for hearing aids. I het a call several days later and I expected them to tell me I could come and get my new hearing aids. Turns out that is not why they called. They called to tell me that due to an error they would cost literally twice the price I was quoted. I decided that I would try another avenue. I was intrigued by hearing aids that could be controlled with a smart phone (I have an iPhone). I did a bit of research and went with ENGAGE. Well, they fit perfectly right out of the box. I have a history of not being able to tolerate things like ear buds, etc in my ears. Well, as I said, these fir perfectly. I did not have to use an of the included ear tips or anything. I thought I was doing great and after a day or so I felt I could do better so I called support and told them I felt I was hearing things that were near me too loudly and was still struggling with conversation a bit. Well after 5 minutes of chatting with support, we fine tuned my hearing aids using the app and BOOM! I feel like I am finally hearing the way I did when I was a young man.

I love the control I have over them. I also like the Bluetooth function for talking on phone. Though I am having a lot of static and crackling in my speakers. I am not disappointed at all. They are great and I know engage will take care of my speaker wires. As for now I had to go to my old hearing aids because of the speaker wires on the engage set.

I've tried other hearing aids, but these are best yet. I love that I can control my volume, program and other settings. The Bluetooth and streaming is also awesome.
Good for the price.

These are good hearing aids for the price. I like they are rechargeable and connect to my phone by bluetooth. They do squeal anytime my hand or any object gets near the ears which is annoying and they are a little tinny sounding at times. They frequently become disengaged from the bluetooth connection with the phone and must be reconnected. I know the rubber ear cones will need replacing, however there was no information as to how or where to get additional ones. The staff I have talked to have been nice and helpful.

So far they seem to be just okay. The Bluetooth is very weak. If your streaming music and put the phone in you pocket the opposite side falls out and back in. Not sure I am keeping them if this cant be fixed and they keep disconnecting from the phone so you cant adjust them when needed

Engage's price point was good. I did complete the purchase online. I had already had an outside hearing test and I knew what I wanted to get. I've looked at many different brands and Engage seemed to have the right information I needed provided on the website. So, that helped a lot. The hearing aids work very well and the biggest things were, one, I didn't have to buy batteries, and two, the charger came with it. The batteries recharge very nicely. They seem to adapt, too. I do sound production for bands and different things like that, and they almost seem to adjust to the environment I'm in, especially dealing with different musicians. I've heard other hearing aids don't work like that. There are three definite settings for the volume and I use the minimum and they seem to work very well with not getting in the way of me listening to sounds. When I wear my hearing aids, I do have a better experience in hearing my wife, my daughter and things around me. So, that's worth it. For years, they've been saying, 'Go get a hearing aid” because I would say, 'What?” Now, they seem to notice I respond to them better. The hearing aids seem to fit very nicely. They're not bulky to where they get in the way of eyeglasses. I haven't had any problems that I had to call and ask somebody a question about.

I had someone from Engage call me last week. I'm still monitoring the battery recharge capacity of one of the hearing aids. When I first received them, the right hearing aid had only about eight hours of operating time after I had charged it. That increased over the next couple of days to 10 hours. But as some recharging units of other tools I have seemed to increase with use, I'm kind of monitoring it. It's upwards of about 14 hours now. If it continues to increase toward the advertised duration, then it'll be perfectly acceptable. The little drying and sanitizing unit might be defective and it does need to be replaced. Also, I think that the app that I have downloaded to my iPhone needs some improvements. There are some inconsistencies in the way that the app behaves. Outside of that, the ability to modulate tone and sound quality is a vast improvement, in my experience, compared to competitors. Overall, the quality of the hearing aids is superior to my experience with other name-brand hearing aids. I'm quite pleased with Engage.

The sales reps were good. They were very professional and had a good knowledge. They helped me out a lot, and my hearing aids fit good. I like that they have different size tubes. The Bluetooth is cool too. It could be a bit better, but it works. It's still good.

I went to a hearing specialist, then I had my wife take care of the rest. I was busy taking care of other things, but I told her what I wanted. My hearing is bad and we got the hearing aids 'cause the thing is if I don't, I can't hear very well. I just got my ears checked and I have one infection right now in one ear. Other than that, the clarity is good, and I enjoy it. I can hear from a long distance. It helps me out.

These work really well with one very important exception. They will not stay paired with my IPhone. I am in Real Estate and rely on my phone and having a good connection with my hearing devices. Hopefully we can get this straightened out. My rating will go to 5 stars if we can and 1 star if we cannot.

Engage was the first one we tried out and came back to. The videos on YouTube were informative and very clear. We did struggle with ordering online though. We tried multiple times but it didn't seem to be terribly intuitive to us to go through it. We wound up having to call someone and do it on the phone. The gentleman was very helpful and patient. We got the hearing aids and we're very happy with what we've accomplished for my mom's hearing. The left one seemed to make an absolute difference. She's pretty religious about taking care of it and making sure they're charging. But we found that the one for her right ear did no good so we contacted the company. It was a small part of the wiring that had to be changed to turn a right ear into a left ear. They sent us that at no charge in a box that they paid for. They also paid for the return shipping. The instructions were utterly clear and concise so that I could switch it over.
