I really wanted to love Lume deodorant — the scent was absolutely amazing, and I was so hopeful after reading so many great reviews. Unfortunately, as soon as I applied it, my armpits started to burn and became irritated almost instantly. I had to wash it off with soap and water to calm the reaction. I'm really disappointed, because I had high hopes for this product, but sadly it just didn’t work for me.

I only applied this deodorant on my armpits and the scent was overwhelming and too fragrant. The deodorant masked the armpit odor and did not last the entire day. I smelled horrible. Definitely will not buy this product again.

Funny how we all smell different things lol. A lot of people smelled buttery popcorn but it does have a very strong sugary vanilla element so it smelled like buttery pound cake or yellow cake to me. It didn’t burn at first but after using consistently it did burn in the armpits, not the other places. However, it really worked well for deodorant, except you needed to let it kind of absorb into the armpits well like lotion. If I put it on and ran out into the 80+ degree heat it would melt and turn slimy in my armpits making gross moisture noises. But I did smell like a cake fresh out of the oven and I didn’t hate that part, but I would’ve preferred actual coconut fragrance.

I have been using Lume Deodorant for the past 6-9 months and I really like it. This stick was different than the ones I have purchased in the past. This particular stick is a cream, and I bought it because it was on sale. It is long lasting. I just didn’t love the smell. It smells fine and it does work, but I do think the other Lume scents smell better, particularly the purple lavender stick. I will say, I didn’t mind the cream. Good design, I didn’t have to spin the tube a ton to get product out (not like I have to with other brands).

I normally love this brand. BUT this toasted coconut flavor in the invisible cream I don’t recommend. The packaging isn’t best, the cream just a little messy this way. Also this one burns! It doesn’t matter if I have fresh shaved pits or not. It always burns. And it might clog pores because sweat will drip out of my armpits! That’s never happened to me before. But they don’t stink. That’s the positive.

Honestly thought this was going to be good but this stuff burns. It's rough on the skin and imagine putting it down there like they advertise. Also it smells bad to me. Like at first it smells normal but then it smells like mouse poop. I can't wait to get rid of this one so I can go back to other deodorants, even the dollar deodorants are better then this. Money horribly spent. Also it's caky when applied.

Take this for what it’s worth as this is obviously subjective, but I thought this smell was terrible. It smelled like melted butter. I started gagging after I put it on and immediately hopped back in the shower to get it off me. I can’t really afford to throw out $15 deodorant, but that was a one and done. Not sure I’ll ever be able to eat popcorn again!

The smell is nice and very sweet, but it’s way too strong. Additionally, it burned my skin so bad. (I also am not freshly shaved either so I know it’s not that. ) The plain one doesn’t do this to me but it’s unfortunately not in stock near me atm. Will be returning :/

I don't know if it's my body chemistry getting used to whatever magic Lume uses, but when I first started using the body wash and deodorant, I was literally scent-free for days. A month later, I shower and apply the deodorant in the morning and by the evening I'm definitely noticing a bad odor from my armpits. I want to love this, but it just doesn't work for me after a while.

Do not buy this! Very overpriced and doesn’t last 72 hours as stated. I’ve never purchased a deodorant that has burn my armpits like this one. Additionally, it makes my armpits sweat excessively. The scent is overpowering and will leave your clothes smelling like it.
