These were a disappointment. You can't put anything with any moisture in them. The description says "grease resistant" and "keeps food fresh," neither of which is true. I ended up with a grease spotted bag from Cheese Its, and veggie straws were chewy by the end of the day. In addition, they're hard for small hands to open. My 5 year old cannot open them on his own. I got them for his going to Kindergarten soon, but will be looking for another solution instead.
Love these! As stated in the package, these bags are only for dry goods. Something wet will cause this bag to breakdown/tear. These keep my cut avocados fresh with less browning :) I’ve put a used baggie in my compost, can’t wait to see how it breaks down!
I really wanted to like these! I wanted to love them for being the smarter choice. I made my son a sandwich and his apple juice spilled a little on his bag and it made a mess. Bag ripped and he had pieces of the bag on his sandwich. He also placed his cut up strawberries on top of the bag while eating his lunch and the bag just fell apart with the moisture. I feel like it’s an insignificant reason but my boy is not the neatest and this is just going to continue happening. Just more of a mess for me to clean up. For now, I’m using these to pack my daughters puff snacks.
My son prefers taking lunch to school and I wanted something he could toss after lunch (instead of accidentally tossing out my tupperware). I really hated using plastic baggies for everything. I tried these out and we both love them. I love that they seal shut and have an area if you needed to write their name. I use it for a little jokes or riddles. I wished they had more options as far as patterns though.
These bags are very cute for packing my kid's lunch. I can write on them and they're durable to a point (they're. Not plastic, you know!). They seal up and I don't feel guilty when I do want to throw them away.
