Q: Does FSC-certified paper break down completely? Does this product degrade completely in the trash? Degradable paper is supposedly more environmental than any compostable plastic bag. Thank you

A: Thanks for your message. FSC certification refers to how paper is sourced — it means the material comes from responsibly managed forests, not that it’s designed to biodegrade. Those are two different standards. Our Lunchskins paper bags are made from pure, uncoated paper (no wax or other coatings), so they naturally break down over time and can be recycled in most curbside programs. In addition, our compostable certification ensures they’ll fully break down in commercial composting environments. We designed them to be a simple, low-impact alternative to coated or plastic-based bags — good for your snacks and better for the planet. For anyone curious, the FSC website and local recycling or composting guidelines are great quick resources on how these materials behave after use. Hope that helps!

Q: Can you put these in a toaster?

A: Our bags cannont be used in a toaster. However, our paper bags are Microwave-safe (1000W (or less) microwave) for up to 2 Mins. Heating beyond 2 minutes is NOT recommended!

Functional AND cute
Finally a recyclable bag without sacrificing functionality! Love the closure on these which keeps snacks fresh and in place. I have never seen actual closures like this with paper snack bags and not to mention they look so cute in my lunch box. Will be purchasing again!!

So great for snacks and small treats!
I have been using these for snacks and treats in my daughter's lunch! The design is so fun and she is able to pack & reseal these herself which is key for me. I love that this bag can then be recycled versus using plastic ziploc bags. A win for both my daughter and I!
