Description
Our clothes are in constant contact with bacteria throughout our day-to-day activities, for example through contact with contaminated surfaces, other people and our own bodies. Bacteria can spread from one fabric to another in the laundry basket, from the washing-machine drum to the next load. Some of these bacteria can survive following the wash cycle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a product that can help kill some of the nasty germs my daughters bring home from school! We all know Lysol makes great products. It was easy to use—just add it where you'd put your fabric softener or dump it straight in. It does have a very heavy scent; we usually look for free-and-clear products for my girls' skin. That would be my only complaint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have seen this in stores but never really thought I should be buying it, so I was happy to try this product thanks to Influenster. The hardest part about using this is simply the instructions that you need to add it to your fabric softener compartment during the rinse cycle. This makes it hard when your washing machine is in the basement and you aren't paying enough attention to it or cannot hear when it hits the rinse cycle since your upstairs. I did try this out on a rug we washed and managed to actually catch the correct cycle. Our dog had an accident on it and it can be super hard to get dog urine out of fabrics. I am happy to report this sanitizer did the trick and there is no lingering undertones of urine sticking around. This is definitely a great addition to your laundry routine

I have to be extra cautious as I have others I care about that I see daily that have weakened immune systems. I owe it to myself, my pets and my loved ones to stay heathy and try to help keep them healthy. I was so excited to learn about this product and to try the Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer Free & Clear. The sanitizer is is budget friendly, and in an easy to pour container. It is designed for most standard or HE washer units, you simply add the sanitizer to the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine or directly into the rinse cycle. From there it begins it's work. The sanitizer is designed to kill 99.9% of the bacteria detergent does not, including the COVID 19 virus. It is given a "Safer Choice" label by the EPA, is fragrance free, dye free and chlorine free. As an extra preventative measure, I have started using Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer Free & Clear whenever I feel I may have been exposed to any contagious nasties that might transfer from my clothing.

Obviously, I can't tell whether the product is actually getting rid of bacteria and germs, but Lysol is a brand I trust, so I hope it is. There is no scent or color to it, just as it says. I used it as directed, and there weren't any obvious differences to my clothes than any other load. So here's to hoping it actually does what it says, and I'll keep using it.

Same with the towels and wash cloths we all use! It makes me feel more effective at cleaning his clothes and the best part is that it is dye and scent free. I feel like it helps us go the extra mile for value since I feel like I am less likely to pay for a doctor visit with this. Thanks Lysol!

I didn't realize it until after I had opened the bag and half of the product spilled on my floor. Needless to say I think my kitchen got a little extra clean lol. Whatever was left in the product I was still able to use for 2 loads of laundry so it wasn't much harm done for my review :). My towels were the first thing I washed and they smell even better than they did before. I was a bit surprised because I expected it to smell like lysol spray. No, it smelled clean and slightly refreshing. I really enjoyed the way it smelled! Definitely will be incorporating this into my washes now! Especially for my towels!

I was very excited to try this product because I own a hedgehog and when I tell you her blankets are stinky…I’m not even kidding. I tried this out first on her blankets to see if it truly would get rid of the bad odors. I typically use vinegar but can’t stand the smell of it. This laundry sanitizer completely got rid of the odor! No more smelly hedgehog blankets and no more having to use stinky vinegar for her odors lol. I’m so happy with this product. I also tested it out on my regular blankets and towels and was very pleased with how well it cleaned those. I would definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing in the future!

It removed all odors….it smelled clean without a dryer sheet! Iove the deep cleaning sanitizing aspect of this product. Will continue to purchase and use to sanitize and remove odors

The instructions are clear and easy to understand. I used this for my bedsheets, kitchen towels, and bathroom towels as those see the most germs on a daily basis. It does have a chemicals smell to it, but I would expect it to. I do like that it is free of fragrance and dyes. I will definitely be using this for every load of laundry.

I think it worked pretty well and got some strong strains and smells out of my husbands clothes. I feel like it still had a slight scent even though it says it’s fragrance free but it wasn’t too strong. Good alternative to bleach!
